How did you possibly come to that conclusion, based on my statements above?Augustus Maximus wrote:So the Democratic Party is made up of only informed people?
It is my personal opinion that most Republicans vote against their own self-interest by voting for policies that will not help them. It seems to me that most people who vote "straight Republican" who are not already wealthy are voting "for when I become wealthy"...in other words, they're voting for the situation they HOPE to be in, not voting for the situation they ARE in.Night Strike wrote:It's the uninformed people that fall for the government-freebies pitch that is only thrown by Democrats.
We have all been blindsided for some time. It used to be that the "powers behind" actually worked for things that generally benefitted us, but I think we are now too far down the road to either Big Brother or Brave New World. I fear my children will see the end of a truly free US.Woodruff wrote:Republicans are extremely adept at positioning themselves as the easy choice for uninformed people, as most people don't give a shit about politics.
Democrats on the other hand, I don't know what the f*ck they're doing. And all signs would point to "Neither do they".
Because most people who vote Republican know that the only way to get ahead is to work for it yourself instead of relying on the government to take it from others and give it to you. They know that a free society cannot exist while the government redistributes wealth.Woodruff wrote:It is my personal opinion that most Republicans vote against their own self-interest by voting for policies that will not help them. You're young still, Night Strike. Someday, I do hope that you will avail yourself of some opportunities to to be educated by people who actually disagree with you strongly. You clearly currently only give serious credence to opinions which you already agree with. That isn't education, that's simply affirmation, and it's a path that can only lead you to mistakes, potentially very grave ones. It probably won't happen until you get older though...that's the way it was with me.Night Strike wrote:Because most people who vote Republican know that the only way to get ahead is to work for it yourself instead of relying on the government to take it from others and give it to you. It was an inference i had made based upon your statement that the Republicans position themselves for the uninformed. Hence leading to the conclusion that the Republican party is composed of uninformed people.Woodruff wrote:How did you possibly come to that conclusion, based on my statements above?Augustus Maximus wrote:So the Democratic Party is made up of only informed people?
1. Just because the Republican Party positions itself for the uninformed does not mean that the Republican Party members are all uninformed people.Augustus Maximus wrote:It was an inference i had made based upon your statement that the Republicans position themselves for the uninformed. You gotta love the Republicans. They have half the country believing that passing two pieces of shit means they're actually trying to resolve the deficit problem.Phatscotty wrote:You gotta luv the democrats.
They have half the country believing that the only party to pass a bill (2 of them) is the one that will be responsible for a default.
Yes Nightstrike, because you've never availed yourself of being exposed to people whom you disagree with on internet forum discussions. Please take the next step and place yourself under the tutelage of those who will properly redirect you. You see, espousing and articulating a set of beliefs based on principles that you accept as true is simply being stubborn, and that only inhibits your growth as a person. The times they are ahhhchangin' and you don't want to be left behind with all the fuddy duddys who think that hard work should be rewarded by retaining most of the wealth produced by it.Woodruff wrote:You're young still, Night Strike. You gotta love Dumbocrats and Repugnantcans, they are both trying to f*ck us to death. But only because they care about us! {imo, the only good politician is one that is dead or in prison)Woodruff wrote:You gotta love the Republicans. Don't worry, DangerBoy...nobody would confuse you with someone who tried to be informed.DangerBoy wrote:Yes Nightstrike, because you've never availed yourself of being exposed to people whom you disagree with on internet forum discussions. He's just doing his job is ripping up every post from every conservative and Independent that ever posts. Calling names, besmirching, belittling, talking down to. It really can only be considered fecal matter.Augustus Maximus wrote:@ Woodruff - I was attempting to be somewhat facetious with my question.
While he does do it a lot, you have to admit DangerBoy has a history of adding little to nothing to the political discussions here.Phatscotty wrote:He's just doing his job is ripping up every post from every conservative and Independent that ever posts. I think it was hilarious and added context to the attitude of the previous poster. And what you say is okay because I hardly ever see him post hardly anything anyways.Yes Nightstrike, because you've never availed yourself of being exposed to people whom you disagree with on internet forum discussions. I know, it's case-and-point to what Woodruff was saying in the first post: the only people who are informed are those who turn to Democratic beliefs. It's kind of like that lie-for-a-study saying Fox News viewers were less informed because the study defined the correct view as agreeing with the view of the Obama Administration.DangerBoy wrote:Yes Nightstrike, because you've never availed yourself of being exposed to people whom you disagree with on internet forum discussions. I do no such thing, liar. Stop being such a coward. For heaven's sake, I argue with PLAYER as much as I argue with anyone other than yourself.Phatscotty wrote:He's just doing his job is ripping up every post from every conservative and Independent that ever posts.Augustus Maximus wrote:@ Woodruff - I was attempting to be somewhat facetious with my question.
That isn't even remotely what I was saying. But, of course, you couldn't bother yourself to actually read it and try to understand it for yourself...which was precisely my point.Night Strike wrote:I know, it's case-and-point to what Woodruff was saying in the first post: the only people who are informed are those who turn to Democratic beliefs.DangerBoy wrote:Yes Nightstrike, because you've never availed yourself of being exposed to people whom you disagree with on internet forum discussions.
