- Ireland has completely steamrolled England in the first half, racking up 56 points in just TWO quarters! England's chances of gaining their first win this week look slim.
- Germany turned up the heat on the Great Lakes in the 2nd, now leading 25-6.
- Despite racking up 35 points to edge out Puget Sound in Week 4, San Francisco has been unable to shake their season long scoring trouble, as they currently are being shutout by the Netherlands, 14-0.
- Portugal added 3 scores to their total to edge ahead of Puget Sound 25-6.
- Charleston sits on a small lead over NYC 19-7, despite several missed plays by QB lostatlimbo (*ahem*). He'll be benched moving forward to give the team backup a chance to ignite this offense.

Current Standings:

Since we began this tournament, some players have come and gone. For those recently joining us, and for those wanting a refresher, the point system of this league is as follows:
The earlier a game is won, the more yards are gained.
Winning a game 5 rounds or less is an instant TD. Totaling 80 yards or more during a quarter is a TD.
For each TD scored during a quarter, an extra point is awarded by winners of the triples game.
If no TD was scored by the winner of the triples game, a 3 point Field Goal is awarded.
The team with more points at the end of 4 quarters wins the match. In the event of a tie, a final triples game will be played to decide the winner.
Settings are Standard, Automatic, Sequential, Chained. Spoils are Flat in the 1st & 2nd quarters and Escalating in the 3rd & 4th quarters. Maps with an asterisk are Foggy (but you can probably persuade me either way). Premium recommended. Freemium accepted if ALL 4 spots are open for duration of tournament. Now, the details, for those with nothing better to do:
Each week teams face off for 4 quarters (2 each on both maps) of a football match.
Each team will consist of 1 QB, 1 WR and 1 RB.
Each quarter, each player on the team faces each opposing player (3 games each) and ALL players compete in 1 triples game.
The earlier a game is won, the more yards are gained.

The regular season will be at least 9 matches. That's a total of 144 games per person.
There will be a playoffs at the end of the regular season, the details of which will be determined by who many people sign up.
Games will be sent by invitation. If a player has not joined a game after 2 invites, and has not given prior notice of an absence, a delay of game (DOG) penalty will be called for 10 yards per game are deducted from that quarter's total. After 3 unanswered invites, games are forfeited and opposing team is awarded 20 yards per game missed. Repeat DOGs will be suspended from the team and made to return to the minors.
Reserve players will also be able to play singles games in a minor league. Whenever a team needs to replace a player, the minor league player with the best record is called up.
In the event of a two or more teams being tied heading into the playoffs, the tiebreaker will be decided by most points scored, then by least points allowed and finally by fewest DOGs
