I believe you break the rules, you should be punished, and once the punishment is over, then that's it: things go back to normal. I don't believe people should continue to stomp on someone once they've done their time: not in real life, and not in gameworlds either. Doing so implies that the punishment was inadequate (and in many real-life instances it probably is, but that's a whole different topic.)

I believe you break the rules, you should be punished, and once the punishment is over, then that's it: things go back to normal. The disgrace was probably punishment enough, but I suspect he's just waiting until memories fade enough that he can return and resume his lists and go on like nothing ever happened like American politicians and religious figures do.

i thought his crime was totally outragious esp when he continued doing it after the report was made. but he got punished served his time and it is over with now. as for his lists they are his lists he can do with them as he pleases but if he does not put a * next to his name then people won't really take it seriously. or in other words just leave blitz alone now we got a result in the case and it is over and done with new year and all.

Subject: Blitzaholic, Jobiwan -- Redux

After all the brouhaha, the opinions, the concerns and most of all, the facts of this case, it was agreed that another investigation was needed to be taken further, hence, the re-opening of the case. This re-investigation was undertaken in consultation with all the Admins, as well as the C&A moderators & hunters who also gave their inputs about this case.

I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize for my "local police station" remark as I admit that this case has tested my patience and I didn't take what some of you had said/suggested very lightly during the time when emotions are running high concerning this case. Anyway, moving on, this is the final conclusion:

Conquer Club has no stipulation that an account sitter take all the turns for the Account they are Sitting, however, we believe that Blitzaholic and Leolou2 engaged in gross abuse of the Jobiwan account, under Account Sitting Abuse.

>>Judging from general time lines, we've concluded that two infractions under Account Sitting Abuse have occurred over a duration of time:

1. The joining non-tournament games.
   
2. Taking turns with Jobiwan account as a second communal account, in games in which the parties had a stake, to gain a tactical advantage.

>>It is clear that Blitzaholic and Leolou2 went beyond the normal scope of Account Sitting, by joining and playing games from start to finish knowing that Jobiwan would be unable to return, that is, the Account Sitting was not a temporary stopgap measure to maintain the account.

>>Blitzaholic was previously only narrowly disciplined for the first Account Sitting Abuse infraction---the joining of non-tournament games (March 15th - 30th). This is what King Achilles and the Multi Hunters determined and took into account at the conclusion of the first investigation.

>>This re-investigation, with input from all the Admins, has now led to Blitzaholic receiving disciplinary action for this second Account Sitting Abuse infraction---taking turns and playing games from start to finish to gain a tactical advantage (March 6th - March 28th). This results in Blitzaholic's Second Major/Severe Infraction (being of game-related), thus a 1 Month Website Vacation from Conquer Club.

>>Leolou2, for their part, will also be disciplined for the second Account Sitting Abuse Infraction, following the above outline and time frames. This results in Leolou2's First Major/Severe Infraction, thus a Warning .

>>The Jobiwan account has been suspended to prevent further Account Sitting Abuse, and can be re-claimed by Jobiwan should he come back to Conquer Club.

>> Because of this, now future cases where it seems that an Account being maintained by Account Sitters has been abandoned for the foreseeable future, that is, that Account Sitting would seem to perpetuate indefinitely, the Account will be suspended from the website until the original owner can file an E-ticket to claim it back under their own power and responsibility.

While there has been public discussion about Point Dumping and Point Resets, we do not have adequate evidence or conclusive evidence to pursue an infraction of that nature. We know that some of the public will be disappointed in our inability to pursue this extent of the investigation, but as I mentioned, we do not have adequate or conclusive evidence.

We regret the length of time this re-investigation has taken, but the Admins and the Multi Hunters wanted to make sure that everything was re-looked into fully. We regret the original narrow disciplinary ruling of the original investigation.

He cheated, which for many (I presume), is disgraceful.

So, how have your feelings toward BLITZAHOLIC changed? Since the bond of trust has been violated, do you feel comfortable with him being around your precious intensity cubes and territories? Or is he a welcome convict, who was just another victim of the Cycle of Violence in impoverished neighborhoods?

I believe you break the rules, you should be punished, and once the punishment is over, then that's it: things go back to normal. I don't believe people should continue to stomp on someone once they've done their time: not in real life, and not in gameworlds either. Doing so implies that the punishment was inadequate (and in many real-life instances it probably is, but that's a whole different topic.)

The disgrace was probably punishment enough, but I suspect he's just waiting until memories fade enough that he can return and resume his lists and go on like nothing ever happened like American politicians and religious figures do.

Some come back quickly...

i think it has more to do with how betrayed the people feel...
mistakes can be quickly overlooked, but the feeling of being betrayed is not.

People who come here to browse the forums and play 5 games a month probably will hate him as they dont really care about the game. But for people that has played with Blitz, it doesnt matter whether or not you like him, but you respect his ability to play. "Cheater" or not, he's still better than 99% of the people on this site on any game type.

He had my respect as a skilled player as I appreciated the fact that he is one of the elite players of this game. It's obvious he is very competitive and winning here is important to him and it's unfortunate that he tarnished his reputation by cheating. Now there will always be doubts about his accumulated point totals and win percentages. Any significance that might be attached to his personal accomplishments playing this game are diminished.

Blitz's forces should probably be randomly tested for performance enhancing substances.
