On sight game notification

Be nice if a Person who is waiting for a game to fill, be notified with a post on their wall. Inbox, anything!

Or if Possible...to pop up while in forum.
Many different ways to do this.
Keeping it Simple might give it a better chance of getting implemented.
The current game notification does not work...only if you are in waiting for players room does it work.

There is a current system that allows you to use email notifications. You can find this option in Game Settings.
Then you can keep your email open in another tab and a (1) will appear when you have a new mail.

Also, if you are using Firefox, you can install ConquerTell which will bark a dog at you when a turn is ready.

If you are using MacOSX, there is a widget you can download which will do the same thing.

Since there are so many options already, I doubt this will be implemented.

DoomYoshi gave you options, so saying "no options or a deaf guy" is false. I'm guessing he won't be able to give you a deaf guy as there are legalities and ethics that cause issues around the possession of people.

I do not hear anything that comes through my Computer.
I know (at least I think I do) of the tab that notifies a person when a game is up. Does not work when in Forum or other games. the only time I ever see the "Tab" is if I am in waiting room.
Easy to get preoccupied. Unless there is something that pops up right in front of me eyes.

The Tab you speak of use to work some of the time (not all the time) now It never works unless I am in waiting room.
Other players have told me the same thing...so Iz knows it ain't just me.

Waltero, I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding precisely what you mean. You mention that others have said this too. Is there any chance you can provide some of these other people?

Also, can you try again from the beginning and explain exactly what you mean. What worked before and how did it work?

For me, the speed game notifier still works. While it is true that you need to keep the waiting room open, you can open a new tab (in your web browser) and search the forums or even the rest of the Internet and the game will pop up when it is ready. It might not work for windowed browsing, so if you are using a browser that doesn't have tabs, an upgrade might be necessary.

My internet comes through a air card...It is Slow.
I have hard time opening multiple browsers.
I can not continue to look at the waiting room for many minutes. I usually mess around on CC forum and the like.
Use to get notified back when I first joined (About 30% of the time). I complained to some of the other gamers when I showed up late...they had informed me that it does not always work (game notification).

No biggie...I have gotten bored with this game. Do not spend much time with this game anymore. Dice piss me off too often.

With modern browsers you don't need to open multiple browsers, you can just open different tabs. I think Game notification only works on a tab system, but I could be mistaken. Can I archive this then?
