The FAQ wrote:20. Is it against the rules to reveal in game chat an opponent's position or strength in a Fog of War game?

Information or misinformation in game chat is acceptable, however, as with any tactic or strategy, you may be rated by your opponents as they see fit.

He did not violate any rules when he revealed your position. The post above shows you the rule. This is CLOSED.

Its a crappy rule and a cheap tactic to reveal another player's position.

Unfortunately it is a rule so just foe him.

You took a bonus in a foggy 5-player game. If the other players didn't realize it, they needed to know for their own sake, and your bonus would have popped up in the game log on your next turn, so they'd know where you were anyway. He didn't reveal your other territories to the other players. I think announcing in chat, "Hey, guys, green just took the Ireland bonus," isn't clearly wrong or right.

From Community Guidelines:

Fog of War Games:

Using the game chat to announce where a player's territories and troops may (or may not ;) ) be is NOT against the rules. It may come across as unfair or not in the spirit of the game, but feel free to find strategic applications of this non-rule.

A case could be made that Ameter's actions were justified. I wouldn't rate him low for doing that to me.

I'm just saying I disagree with that rule. If you want to see everything on the board play sunny. Keeping troops or bonuses hidden is part of the strategy that is unique to fog. It is unfair when 1 player has to ruin that strategy for another player.

Most players don't do it and I see it as very cheap tactics.
