I hate long drawn out games where everyone builds up hundreds to thousands of troops. I just attack anybody before they start doing that squat. Call me a suicider, but I don't want to get stuck in a long match (this is just my opinion). 50 rounds is plenty. Really, if a game takes longer than that...you're just dickin' off.

Ok, so if I get stuck in a game where everyone decides to dick off and build up super massive armies; is it okay for me to just suicide and get out of such a douche bag game?

Because, really it shouldn't take anyone over 50 rounds to finish a game; if it takes you over a hundred rounds to play a game of online Risk-style games, then all you are doing is dickin' off.

50 rounds is plenty and I am all for round limitations of 50. If not, then I will take my chances at auto attacking massive armies with my piddly 5. I've taken down an army as large as 19 with only 2 troops...don't think your super massive armies are safe from DaGip, you douche bag troop horders!

i dont mind them so much anyway. i usually sit idle in most games anyway where i can just sit back while everyone spars. if i cant play like that then i dont really want to play. that is how i enjoy the site that i pay membership for.

i once saw them do the same thing in a roller coaster. they were giving away x amount of dollars to the last person on board. after a few weeks the probably five or so folks left decided to split the pot. i wonder how much $$$ the amusement spent vs. gained on that stunt.

Truthfully, I used to play like a douche too; but as I aged I realized my own mortality and wanted to experience more games without waiting a year to finish one. I remember someone asking me to babysit their account and they had a game where everyone had thousand man armies. I said,"Screw this shit!" and lost the game for him by attacking the douche that was in the lead. Needless to say...I never babysat ever again.

Also, the game that was shown as an example in this thread was not a "no spoils" game. It was "flat rate". If you let armies build like that using "flat rate" then you are indeed just dicking off. And I don't join those types of games anymore, I usually stick with Galapagos no spoils. It's usually short and sweet for a no spoils game. I almost entirely stick with FOW games too.
