World 2.1

I know most people like it, but it's just so vast I can't wrap my head around it. Maybe that's why I have a rating of 500...but still. I can't form a strategy for that because there are just so many territories!

i had the exact same prolem, until i got stocksr's script, it helps alot! however i still avoid world 2.1.

I'd have to agree with all of the ones mentioned above. World 2.1 makes my head hurt. I guess I'm getting old since I used to play the old Xeno game world at war a lot.

The indochina map, gets on my nerves the most. I feel like it is too small, yet there are way too many points of entry on all of the color areas except one (Northern most). In fact I don't think I've ever seen anyone win that didn't caputure the northern most area first.

I expected all the answers to be Crossword, Indochina, Circus Maximus and similarly frustrating maps but not Europe! :shock:

It's one of the best on here in terms of playability - there are almost 4 continents that you can build from (Africa, Near East, Western Russia and Scandanavia if you're brave). Expansion is also easy from most parts of the map and then you've got the big mass in the middle of Germany, The West and The Mediterranean to fight over. In my opinion it is the most enjoyable map but obviously not everyone agrees...

I like most of the ones mentioned so far. They tend to have some different game play, which is interesting. The ones I don't like are the ones I find difficult to read and/or look at:

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like the look of the classic map. And by that I mean the graphics of CCs version. I may be the only one who won't play on it for that reason...

I actually like the Crossword Map. Like the well-defined borders that sometime vex me on other maps if I accidentally left the map small before I played doesn't bother me on this map.

Least Favorite(s):

Indochina - Only 1 region is easily defendable.
Chinese Checkers - Like the idea - Just too symmetrical.
US Senate - Ditto
8 thoughts - Haven't played - just looks too wierd for my taste.
Siege - Map too dark and hard to read (I use IE - not Firefox - work PC)

I have only played once, but SPACE< UGHH, it sucks...

I agree with whoever said Brazil, the words are more confusing than the battles.

Finally, I do not like San Francisco, it is just weird to me, I don't know why
