Tournament Outline
Using random.org, all players will be split into four groups of eight. Taking 23 letters of the alphabet, each group will play a total of 46 games before any eliminations. Games will be created once each active set is complete, with a maximum of four games running at a time for each group. Excluding X, Y and Z, each group will play two maps for each letter, selecting via random.org; Yugoslavia now begins with a Q.
After all games are complete, the top two players from each group advance into the final group where the same process will be repeated. However, for letters where applicable, maps already used will be removed from the random.org list to avoid repetition. Obviously, with some letters, maps will have to be repeated (i.e. Quad Cities, Yugoslavia). The player with the most points at the end of this round is the tourney winner!
Games will be on default settings, eight players, but will vary between Standard, Terminator and Assassin. All games will have a 30 round limit. Details for how the split will work, and scoring, can be found below.
