instructions list

Post by chessplaya »

Well over the Q&A forum there are too many ppl that asking about silly stuff which they are included in the instructions list

so i came to find out that most of the new comers to the site find out about the forums before they find out about the instructions list

therefore my suggestion is simple : a sticky suggestion list over in the Q&A forum so when ppl go there they read it before they post as its more showing there

Necessity:2/5 , its not very important , well not important at all, as it does exist already but no1 is reading it , so change of place would be nice

People don't read the FAQ. Just like they don't read the instructions. Just like they don't read stickies. At least some people don't. I think a sticky saying "Read the instructions and FAQ before posting!" would help though.
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.

Or we could just have the mods automatically delete all of the questions that are answered in the instructions and sticky a note at the top saying: "If your thread is deleted, try reading the instructions or the FAQ."

How about a message before you make your first post saying:
"Read the Instructions, FAQ, and Forum Rules before posting."

Like the message saying "Read the forum guidelines" was totally missed by me until I'd posted about 1600 posts?
