This is a weird phrase that's come up over the last few years. It seems to be kinda popular among people who are angry about the idea of fighting for a just society. For those not in the know. It stands for Social Justice Warrior. and the JW part of it is, of course a complete coincidence for people on the far/alt/right. People who use the phrase don't tend to like Jewish people, of courses, but hey, it's not like they're being totally obvious about it. Ask them what they think about George Soros.

So let's take them at face value, if you think I've been unfair. Social Justice Warrior. Kind of an awkward phrase. Fighting for a just society isn't really a bad thing, right? In the US- the Founding fathers, Abe Lincoln, MLK? In the UK- Magna Carta, Willberforce, Pankhurst?

Is fighting for society based on justice such a bad thing?

This is probably the most absurd thing I've read in months. Do you have any evidence of this? Statistics Maybe? Charts? Graphs? If you can show me evidence I'll have to call you "PROFILER". Are you claiming that every SJW is a Jew? As if everybody who fights for social justice is Jewish. Do you know other people fight for social justice? Like black people, Asian people, not mrswlk, white people and Latina.

Symmetry is radical Muslim, and as such he hates the Jews and tries to lure us all to not like the Jews(just look at the opinions in the pool)

Depends on what your view of justice is. One person may say the death penalty is justice. Others think rehabilitation at all costs is justice. One coin with two sides. Left/right paradigm.

I always wonder at the diction used by those claiming to represent justice, or at least their idea of whatever justice is.

We're constantly "fighting," or "oppressed by forces determined to undermine us," etc etc. There's always this way of speaking or writing, repetetious and directed, with the listener embroiled on all sides by some caricature like the bad guy from Harry Potter. It sounds like marketing. Or maybe it's just memes and zeitgeist, who knows? Like what's popular in movies at any given era. During wwii and the cold war, films feature attack by aliens. Now we have films where the enemy is our corrupt government. I mean, sure, they're probably corrupt, just like all governments since the beginning of time. But is it really important?

Plato wrote basically the ideation of justice, for the western world at least. But never is it strictly defined in a short one- or two-sentence summary, and never does he use marketing ploys aimed at teenagers.

Hah. I generally don't like anything pretentious that tries to cram their political views on me by offering a social commentary, but i think that may be my favorite scene from sunny. Not the funniest, but just how well they depict the attitude of people in my generation, with how vitriolic they are in support/opposition to the war, but just having no clue as to why beyond everyday platitudes they've heard before. It really is great.
