KRAUTHAMMER? Would he have made a good President?

Post by DaGip »

I am wondering. Would Charles Krauthammer have made a good President?

No.

... but he’d have been better than Trump.

Why did this image have to be so big?

Also, of course not, unless the main problem the US has is not enough wars.

I don't know. As conservatives go, he was fairly reasonable. Assuming that you'll have some conservative victories, you could do worse than Krauthammer.

-- Supporter of legal abortion, a breath of fresh air among the usual chorus of "shut down abortion" among conservatives
-- As a corollary of the above, fought against Bush's ban on stem cell research
-- opposed other pet conservative issues like capital punishment and teaching intelligent design
-- generally supported realism and science
-- Supported using taxes to reduce fossil fuel use

It's true he was generally hawkish on foreign policy, but not the worst of the bunch. I'd say his reasonable stances on domestic issues would be worth taking on some foreign policy baggage.
