the essay format is pretty rigid, it really sucks..

kind of like the format of the OP here..

you basically search for some sensationalist article and then come to CC, in the Subject you just copy the title of the article, in the body you post the url to the article and the first paragraph.

I want to say that an essay is a type of task from a teacher that does not allow borrowing from books, Internet sources, periodicals, etc. Only personal quotes are allowed, and then in very small amounts. Because of these conditions, small work (3-5 pages of printed text) often causes students no fewer difficulties than a term paper or a graduation thesis. I faced the problem of writing an essay when I went to college. At first, I tried to write to them myself, but there was simply no strength left. Mod edit (dk): spam link removed.

An example of hoenails' brilliant essay work:
Subject: cure for rising ocean levels

1) Cost, which are very expensive and can be prohibitive, especially for poor countries.
2) Environmental impact (will lots of fish or marine life die?). The "left" will fight this idea based on this one aspect.
3) Other ways, including better conservation of water already available, are better.
4) And here is the "kicker" the one I did NOT research: will this idea reverse or even significantly impact rising sea levels? I did not investigate this question and I doubt NP even considered the issue.

I'm not the last word on the subject, but I would have put a dash after "kicker".

Wrong.

Hyphens are used to join multiple words into single term. For example, "counter-terrorism". Dashes are used to join separate elements of a sentence in a case where a period would be too strong and a comma would be too weak.

Have you ever wished that you had an ability to talk to strangers and have them instantly warm up to you?

Think about the people you know who seem to bring out the best in you whenever you talk to them: You feel comfortable talking to them and could go on talking forever. They could be old friends or someone you just met, but the conversation just seems to flow smoothly and naturally.
