Hello CC! Here we go again with this popular event, last year brought a revamped maps, settings and tournament names, and was one of the closest finish this event ever had, hope for the same if not more suspense this year!!!

Few things changed from last year;

• Primitive Tribes have been coded few months ago to reflect the actual active members, meaning a member account becoming inactive for at least 30 days is being automatically kicked of a Primitive Tribe, when s/he return, s/he can join back that Tribe, any other Primitive automatically, or apply for an existing Advanced Tribe, or last, creates it's own new Tribe
• As always I'm listening from your comments and use it to get next edition better, for this, one big claim was about the Platinum medal points judging to be too high, thus we lowered it from worthing 10 points to worthing 7 points
• This year is also introducing the brand new "Tribes Plaques", this is a trophy that will stay belong the Tribe, not belong a player like a medal, Plaques to be retro awarded for prior Tribe event such as League, Cup, War and misc. other Tribes Tournaments (not really pertaining to this Olympics event but I know I will get the question so I'm proactively providing the answer already )
• This year we could see up to 16 Tribes participating!!! That is unseen since Tribes exists, very exciting, but this could go higher if new Tribes form from now and until the the start date (+1 week).

As before, the event will have its Tribes scoreboard with generous prizes. You don't have to be part of tribe to participate, but there will be special tribe related events. Everything will be automated, there is no need to sign up.
Because last year Olympics moved to this year and are still in the Asian continent, all tournament names will remain unchanged, and until real Olympics move to Europe where names may change again.

Current active Tribes are 4 Primitives & 12 Advanced, if you want to create a new Tribe, check this thread that will tell you how to proceed.

How to Play

• There are 31 auto-tournaments running on a schedule accessible from the scoreboard page.
• You can join each tournament once.
• Kind of medals reward is depending on the size and nature of the event.
• There are a few major tournaments that you join to win Platinum Medals!
• All tournaments are giving out a Participation Ribbons to each player.

Scoring System:

• Platinum Medal: 7 points 'NEW"
• Gold Medal: 5 points
• Silver Medal: 3 points
• Bronze Medal: 1 point
• Participation Ribbon: 0.2 point

Prizes:

Tribes
As well as holding the crown of CC Olympic Champion Tribe (currently M&S is the defending Champion), the winning Tribe will receive:
That brand new Platinum Tribes Plaque , 15,000 shared among the Tribe, and for each tribe member who participated in the event.

The Tribe finishing 2nd will receive a Gold Tribes Plaque

The Tribe finishing 3rd will receive a Silver Tribes Plaque

The Tribes finishing 4th & 5th will receive a Bronze Tribes Plaque

any plans on minimizing the situations where 2 tribe mates in same standard game have opportunity/dilemma of whether to win vs helping a clan-mate in medal contention win?
or when a player is unlikely to win a game they make it a priority to keep another tribe from gaining victory ?
or are we still in no holds barred, individual conscience territory?

Thanks for bringing this up, we were closely monitoring this type of scenario last year and I’m glad to say that everything went mostly fair throughout the board. No additional rules to be add this year and this event falls under CC rules...if anything obvious comes up it will be treated from a C&A stand point.

my plans initially to start in May but admin preferred to have it matching the real start date, wasn’t my sole decision then.
As far moving further in September, i have already plan in place with other event in the queue so i can’t push for another 3 months, then my « calendar » to be mess up.

also, didn’t mentioned it yet on the OP but from comments last year, and on top of the medal scoring revision (Platinum has been lowered 3 points down), there is couple of tournament where i asked to add/update the medal allowance...considering game load and entrants amount there was some disparity as well...hope this will be also accepted.

Reading the last year thread few time yesterday, I believe i didn’t miss anything that required express changes...

I have added a quote at the bottom of the OP reflecting the medal award changes from last year and which tournament was, some thought behind to webmaster was about the game load per tournament should reward the same amount of players, game load per tournaments was also a factor to changes some, using more often the gold instead of jumping from Platinum to Silver from 1st and 2nd place ranked player.

I had a mention about the "best-of" amount per tribe would only count in the Tribes ranking, this has been denied by webmaster and Tribes scoring to be like last year, all players scores to add up for their Tribe disregarding the amount of players per Tribes playing.

You don’t have to be in a Tribe to participate, Tribe ranking is an addition for extra prizes
