Is it considered rude to attack in the first round, esp. people who've yet to have a turn themselves? I can't honestly see it that way; I mean, who goes first is an unavoidable advantage. Someone's got to, and if you don't attack, you can fortify instead, and anyone after you on Round #1 is still at an uneven keel... But, I thought I'd ask. Perhaps a bit late...

The dice just seem to be really good or really bad when you're first. There seems to be no middle ground.

There are many situations in no cards where the elite players will deploy and not attack, but this is more about next turn strategy then your suggestion.

Waves from the middle ground
This was childish and a bit silly, I know... but I just couldn't resist. <silly grin>

No it's not rude. It's usually best to not attack first though if you have first turn, people aren't very likely to roll 6v6 against you and may even fort away by the time your next turn comes. I wish I'd listen to my own advice, losing a couple of games because I screwed up my first turn by attacking and not doing well.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

No, it's not rude. This is war so how could it be rude to attack?

I meant that there is middle ground not that it's rude

The guy asked if it was rude so I was saying it's not rude. But your sentence seemed incomplete.

no, if you go first and you attack someone who has not yet had a turn that is absolutely fine. ignore anyone that complaines
