Grammar and Spelling Nazis- UNITE!

Post by Anarkistsdream »

I would like to call out to all of us who are anal retentive about our grammar and spelling. Who feel the need to correct friends, family, and internet morons when they sound pseudo-intellectual because they don't now what the hell they are talking about.

This was spoken about in another thread, but I truly feel that this is a great idea.

All those in favor, say "Aye!"

(Not I, eye, or any other ignorant variation)

PS3, I'll let you in, but you have a certain bias against you already, as most of your posts in the Clubhouse have been ridiculous and fell of inconsistencies.

Dammit! I meant to leave more than one error to see if people could find it.

Instead, I didn't leave any on purpose and only one on accident...

That is a sentence fragment. It should be part of the first sentence with an (and) between.

Shouldn't that be 'by' rather than 'on'?

Oh yes, I am a pedant too. In fact it's the first thing I was ever flamed for... damn that mean old B.K. Barunt.

Aye! When I can't remember how to spell a word correctly, I sub it with another.
"Eh, whatever."

Not when you are American.. .Saying something happened 'on accident' is perfectly fine.

Just because it's in a literary work doesn't mean it's correct. They call that artistic license.

I'm in.
Aye. (No matter how many times I say that it still sounds like "I".)

Remember kids: There's no such thing as 'American English'... it's just a fancy word for 'widespread errors'
