No Fortifications Option

As opposed to Unlimited, Chained, Adjacent....what about NO fortifications? Has this ever been discussed? Would be an interesting wrinkle.

yeah I was mainly talking about just being a newbie to the discussion area in general but thanks for trying to make me look not so stupid joodoo
