Game Instructions:
1. 20 players
2. No elimination, all singles games
3. 20 games played in total, 4 games per round (each game a different map)
4. For every WIN the player will get to choose a letter.
5. The goal is to have enough letters to spell the longest word at the end of the 20 games.
6. The winning player (of each game) must let me know what letter they want to pick by the time the next round of games starts.
7. The word that the player spells in the end must be in English and as long as I can verify it is a word on http://www.dictionary.com I will accept it.
Q & A:
Q1. Say for example I have done really well and I have won 12 of my 20 games and I had this great word in mind I was working for but I am one letter shy of spelling it and now the biggest word I can make is only 8 letters long. What if another player only won 10 games and they could make a word out of 9 of their letters. Would the other player beat me even though I won more games than they did?
A1.Yes, the player that spells the longest word wins the tournament regardless of whether they won the most games or not. CHOOSE YOUR LETTERS CAREFULLY!!
Q2.What if I accidentally spell the word wrong?
A2.I really hate to be the GRINCH in this but if you have not verified that your word is on http://www.dictionary.com and it is spelled wrong or can not be proved to be a word, it will NOT count. NO second chances.
Q3. What if I forget to tell you what letter I want to pick?
A3. Once more GRINCH comes on the scene. If you have not sent me your letter choice via email or the tournament thread by the time I send out the next round of games I will be forced to assist you by picking your letter for you. It will probably end up being something nasty like a Q or a Z, so remember to send me your choices!
UPDATE: No sexually explicit or racially offensive words will be allowed and no cuss words. Please just use common sense and pick your words in good taste. If you are not sure whether your word is in the excluded categories PLEASE email me for verification before submitting it.
