I'll do either, but I always get killed BAD in freestyle.. I had two friends playing with me freestyle a few nights ago, and every time I'd go to lay down some armies, they had already taken that spot over from me. I take to long to think about things. I'll do either, but Sequential favors me more.

sequential every time. Freestyle games often tend to lead to bickering and 'gamesmanship' in my opinion.

Have you played actual video games? Board games masquerading as video games are like sorbet in the ice cream shop. Once you have the good stuff, you never go back (until you're too old for it).

If you want something that rewards thinking and planning, play sequential. If you want something that rewards fast clicking and your connection speed, play freestyle.
Although I prefer freestyle games when it's public, casual and a complex map. Just means the new recruit deadbeats are all gone in three days, instead of 3 days each. Klobber, take note, this could save you a lot of time.

Although you play sequential, you still don't get much reward out of it then- eh?

No sir, poor play leads to bickering no matter what game you're playing- can't isolate that to just freestyle. It happens in all game types, especially in private top tier games.

If you made the statement that "speed games often tend to lead to bickering"- then I would totally agree. You actually get to see the wrong that has been done to you. Casual games, if it happens you're pretty much dead and the games over before you know it even happened.

As far as "gamesmanship", I have no comment because it's too general of a statement. I'm not sure what that means...

I have found that freestlye rewards the player who can literally sit at their computer (or relatively near it) for a couple of weeks. Those that have a life however, are going to be punished for it, at least on 2.1.

I've played two freestlye 2.1 games (yeah, noobie I know) and won them both, yet I would happily admit that the wins came about because I had the time to keep checking my computer and pouncing at the right points.

How people could play numerous freestyle games, win a fair percentage, and still maintain a marriage, job or social life is a little beyond me.

(Maybe they just don't?)

Back to work for me now, so back to only playing sequential. I suspect that sequential will in the end reward the better overall player...my win record on sequential games would bear this out.

Speed freestyle??? I'm too old, too stupid and certainly too slow.

I like to play both. Seuqential gives me a chance to improve my patience. I also like freestyle because it's fast-paced :D

Seq is great for casual games. Organised, and sharp paly.

Freestyle is one big mess of testorion and mistakes, makes for great speed play!

Hardly. In 6-8 player games who goes when with the turn system highly skews the results. Also in a 1v1 the player who goes first has quite teh advantage over the player who goes second.
