i don't understand why there needs to be a special "first woman" to do everything.....

to be fair, it is a great accomplishment, and i commend you.

but there's no need to make her feel more special because she's a woman. they always wanna be treated "equally", yet they somehow get to be labeled first even though they clearly can't be the first....

even if i had my girlfriend i wouldn't put her on a podium saying "ooh congrats, you're the first woman to ______"... because that's for the most part erroneous.

i gave her a "good job" like she deserved... but thats all that she really deserves. nothing special about being a woman

You fail to account for the fact women make a minority on this site. It's something not only unusual to happen, but it's a first. Just as Obama will be praised if elected for being the first non-white to be elected. It's a new precedent kid. Stop trying to be all "equal rights," BS and just act with the chivalry any normal male in society acts upon. Gender roles exist, and while many women generally look to be treated equal, it's irrelevant to to intent of the purpose of the thread. A first.
