FFS! I've had enough of moving and deleting posts and threads asking for a bloody Star Wars map.
There's even a Star Wars thread just a little bit down the page, but still somebody felt compelled to ask for it in a brand new thread anyway.
I'm fed up with it, so I'm turning this thread into the trash can for Star Wars suggestions. Any useless threads I find that are just asking for a Star Wars map will get merged into this thread.
Maybe if everyone can get together and share their ideas and way to get around the Copyright problem, we can get a Star Wars map on the site and then we wont have to deal with this endless and annoying situation.
If anybody wants to consider making a map look over the following threads first:
Every effort should be made to acquire express written consent for a map based on Copyrighted works. In the event that no response is given by the Copyright holders, the map can still be made, but must consist of completely original artwork.
So if permission is sought and there's no response, the map may go ahead as long as the map is made up of completely original artwork. That means no copy and pasting images of star wars characters, places, objects, etc.
If there is a response and it's a no, there is still hope. The map wont be able to be called Star Wars and any unique names should be avoided. Beyond that I think it should be ok.
Now please, stop creating useless threads asking for a Star Wars map!
as i said all i have atm is my comp camara so ill try to get a good 1 later if i can ill try it with my camcorder tomarrow and see if it looks better till then later

well was there a death star in the clone wars thats why there isent 1 but i guess that if they wanted to the map desiner could add 1 but id ratyher see clones back to back holding the blaster rifels and checking for enimes

ok well after seeing that the board pic i took was awsome im goinjg to post every thing close up and most of it is readable

Since I love pointing out the obvious, let me just say that if this website used anything even resembling Star Wars, let alone the actual names that appear in the movies, Lucas would sue and shut us down faster than you can blink.
Renew your Galaxies subscription and get over it, dude.
As long as lackattack isn't charging us to play on the maps he should be fine, even though Lucas could at any point sue if we used those maps he's probably not going to be an asshole about it (like Disney).
However, we could run into a problem when/if lack ever starts taking donations to keep the site up.
Like lack should email Lucas ask for permission if he gave them advertising space or maybe they would let him as peeps would like the game think of buying it then actually buying it Lack plzplzplz don't stop trying for this
I've been a big RISK fan for a long time, and before I joined this site recently I decided to make a Star Wars map which I made a board with. I think its pretty good and could be converted to a playable map at conquer club. What do you guys think?
Errr...do you think you could make it bigger and all in one piece? I'm sort of having trouble seeing the names of the territories...
