A complete tool [Cleared/Warned]

Post by btown80 »

Accused:

Gengoldy

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Being a complete douchebag and a tool

Game number(s):

[game]5084710[/game]

Comments: This DB was so pissed off that I completely owned his ass in our other two games, that he starts saying how I don't understand statistics/percentages, and that I've had all the luck. Quotes his 53% win percentage and major status as proof that he is better, when in reality, neither of those numbers are impressive to any extent. Then has the balls to call me a shitty teacher because I use language that he says isn't respectful. Well respect went out the window when he started claiming how his education is better than mine. I'm basically making this post to show the world what a complete moron this guy is. Our game is now in round 18 and he doesn't have the "respect" and "common courtesy" to finish the game. I've had 1 territory left for the last 5 rounds with him sitting right next to me with 30 armies. Dipshits like this should not only be banned from the site, but given a plaque that reads "Biggest A-Hole"

It always amuses me how seriously some players take their win percentage, as if it's some kind of gospel truth.

53% seems impressive to the layman, but lets take a closer look:

Games:
1597 completed, 840 (53%) won

Games in which you have a 50% chance to win before turn order and drop are taken into account.
1345 are one versus one games
71 are four player Double games
    12 are Triple games
Games in which you have a 33.3%(recurring) chance to win before turn order and drop are taken into account.
45 are three player free for all games
19 are six player Double games
Games in which you have a 25% chance to win before turn order and drop are taken into account.
30 are four player free for all games
3 are eight player Double games
All other games with a 20% chance or less to win before turn order and drop are taken into account.
12 are five player free for all games
45 are six player free for all games
3 are seven player free for all games
12 are eight player free for all games

Considering the composition of games played, I might be impressed if the games won percentage were above the 60% mark at the very least, otherwise it's not much to brag about really. :geek:

lol, bud, you did a lot of research there. I know that when you are the one being insulted, you want to try to counter the insults and you end up thinking about it more than you should. The rest of us aren't in the situation so we probably won't care as much about who is better than who. So vent away, but be aware.

You can probably report him for not finishing the game, but as far as being a tool, I think you just need to ignore him, perhaps foe list him. You said you played 3 games with him, I suppose just stop playing with him.

Gengoldy is Cleared of all abuse accusations. If you do not want to hear what he has to say, put him on your foe list.

That's not smart matey, he's a Multi-Hunter(Site Mod Police), they're just there to do a job and they volunteer their time to do it. So he didn't find in your favour this time, I'm afraid being a 'douche bag' is not against the rules. So your best option is to foe Gengoldy.

I don't know for sure if failing to complete the game when he obvious dominance on the board is a breach of the unwritten rules. You could try reporting him for that rather than deadbeating out of the game, because if he were so minded he could technically report you for 'intentional deadbeating' even though he was creating the circumstances in the first place. Have a chat with one of the Multi-Hunters to see if there is something he can be booked for.

I have a long history with lancehoch. He has had some vandetta against me from day one. So the "douche bag" comment is like a little pet name I have for him.
