Okay, this endeavor may or may not work, but I'm going to give it a shot anyways. For some future projects here at Conquer Club I am going to be in need of a "focus group" of sorts. However, it won't really work like a normal focus group does. It will be more like an overall "sounding board" if you will to try and improve being able to make decisions that will benefit the community in the most positive manner possible.
In order to help make this work I need the help of the community at large, both incredibly active users as well as those who perhaps do more "reading" than "writing" in the forum.
Now, I'm not entirely sure how big this sort of sounding board group needs to be, or exactly how it will work, but I do know it needs to be compiled of community members from all walks of the forum. A few tournament addicts, some map-making experts, some general browsers, those who stir the pot a bit, and everyone else. We need the opinions from all angles so-to-speak.
So, here is what I'm requesting:
Take a moment to think on your forum experience so far, however long it may have lasted. Then think of those individuals who you feel have their finger on the pulse of the community. Maybe you only have experience in one particular area, that's fine, let me know some people from that area. You might be everywhere in the forum and can give me some names from everywhere, that's great too.
Then, post a list of at least a couple names, but no more than 10 (I don't want things to get out of control) of those individuals who have been helpful, entertaining, concerned about policy, interesting, contributory, or other similar things who you think if given a chance to discuss ideas could do so with the best interest of the site at heart.
If you wish to contribute to the discussion please take this seriously and keep this thread free from tangents and off-topic posts. It will go a long way to helping make the process of getting something along these lines started more quickly.
