Hecter has previosuly been warned from the CC Admin in regards to his racist remarks. Now, currently he has a racist symbol up on his profile which is extremely offensive.

That is not racist. It is an old indian motif/symbol. FYI the indians were the original aryans... Yes this symbol is alleged to be the template for the swastika, but note it is not a swastika. I'm part jewish and I'm not offended by this. Is actually quite a pleasant tessalation. I hope this site doesn't stoop so low as to ban something for having a vague resemblance to something else....
The swastika (from Sanskrit svástika) is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in either right-facing (卐) form or its mirrored left-facing (卍) form. Archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates from the Neolithic period and was first found in the Indus Valley Civilization of the Indian Subcontinent. It even occurs today in the modern day culture of India, sometimes as a geometrical motif and sometimes as a religious symbol. It also remains widely used in Eastern and Dharmic religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
Ok ill see what other mods have to say about this. I'm unsure as it isnt the swastika, and unless someone pointed this out to me I wouldnt have even realised. But I will see what others think on this. pending for now

it is a swastika, but not in the racist manner the OP is alleging. the swastika was/is a religious symbol for far longer than the nazi's have used it. do yourself a favor and look up the origins of the swastika and it's religious meanings and uses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika)... there is nothing racist about hecters avatar, there is just a lack of knowledge on the OP's part... if hecter is punished for this, it will be laughable...-0

i think its the bad colour choice thats making people have second thoughts about it, but no, that simply cannot be bannable or offensive. As BoganGod says, I hope CC dont stoop down to this level.

I think this shuts down the case. If Owen doesn't have any problems with a symbol, well, I would wanna see the guy who has.
No offense Owen, just that I find that you're way off my personal standards for what is considered so offensive that it makes sense to shut it down. It's all subjective of course, but that's the nature of "offensive".

It doesn't change the fact that it's not bigoted and not racist. Just because it's referencing, comparing two things, one of which is bigoted, does not make IT bigotry. I would think that's pretty obvious to anybody past grade 9.
