Quadruples |
In Quadruples games, four players team up against other teams. The last team alive wins. |
|
Automatic |
Regions are randomly distributed at the start of the game and each region starts with three troops. |
|
Freestyle |
In a freestyle game it doesn't matter in which order players take their turns. Players can even play simultaneously! After the last player takes his turn, a new round begins immediately. |
|
Flat Rate |
At the end of your turn if you have conquered at least one region you get 'spoils.' Once you have three of the same color (or three different) these can be traded in at the start of your turn for bonus troops. A set of three reds is worth four bonus troops. Three greens is worth six and three blues is worth 8. A set of three different colors is worth ten bonus troops. If you own any of the regions that you trade-in you get two bonus troops on those regions. |
|
Adjacent |
At the end of your turn you can reinforce once from one region to another (they must share a border). |
|
No |
Fog of War masks enemy positions that are not adjacent to your forces (or your team's forces). It also masks region and zone names in the log |
|
No |
You can only assault from regions held since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region during your turn you cannot assault from it until your next turn. |

2008-07-16 09:55:43 - wicked gained 10 points
2008-07-15 04:07:53 - General Quigley: I am sufficiently disgusted.
2008-07-15 04:17:45 - clapper011: then you need to play regular standard games, not freestyle
2008-07-15 04:59:36 - wicked: ... and non-team games at that, or private games.
2008-07-15 05:00:32 - wicked: if we win, it'll be like 8-9 points tops, so you're not losing much and you've learned how team games work.
2008-07-15 05:08:14 - General Quigley: Wow, what a benefit! Like knocking over a person in a wheelchair and telling them now they know how gravity works. Sorry, I prefer more honest team games.
2008-07-15 05:09:10 - General Quigley: And I stand by my comment that you should be more selective when starting your games to play people who think the way you do. Makes for a fairer (or real) competition that way.
2008-07-15 05:10:28 - General Quigley: I don't consider you all good at this game. Anyone of moderate intelligence who mis-spent their time the way you do could achieve the same thing.
2008-07-15 05:12:03 - General Quigley: And none of you would have much of a prayer in games where you played individually. It's where I play the great majority of my games. So believe me, I know you all couldn't cut it.
2008-07-15 05:12:57 - General Quigley: Only if you specialized and found a quirk few others knew about, which is just the advantage people like you cherish.
2008-07-15 05:15:15 - General Quigley: News flash: life means more than the points you win or lose at Conquer Club.
2008-07-15 06:14:03 - wicked: News flash genius, the majority of my games ARE sequential non-team, and I've achieved a respectable score at those games. Most everyone here who plays team is going to play coordinated, it's how team is played.
2008-07-15 06:14:23 - wicked: and you are correct, this is just a game. so why are you so upset? ;-)
2008-07-15 06:16:55 - wicked: you are relatively new to the site red. I hope you don't let this experience turn you off from team games in the future. They can be a lot of fun when you get a good team together. That said, I'd be happy to play you in a non-team game....
2008-07-15 06:17:09 - wicked: ... feel free to join any of my open games
2008-07-15 06:17:38 - wicked: ... or challenge me in a game of your choosing
2008-07-15 11:36:20 - GoVegan: and ill be waiting for an apology once we get cleared as cheaters
2008-07-15 12:33:07 - General Quigley: Since wicked is an administrator, yet another unfair advantage you all like to enjoy having, I am sure all will turn out well for you all.
2008-07-15 12:34:08 - General Quigley: At least I could add the other 3 to my foe list, a step most if not all my team mates took.
2008-07-15 12:34:48 - General Quigley: We all find your tactics, whether permitted by site rules or not, despicable.
2008-07-15 12:36:34 - General Quigley: Something about haing so little else in your life that you spend every waking hour monitoring this game so that you can use speed game tactics and attack while one of us take our turns? Simply pathetic.
2008-07-15 12:37:56 - General Quigley: To find out that such a person as wicked could be a site admin has soured me considerably on this site as a whole. I'm done with this game and with players of your juvenile ilk.
2008-07-15 16:26:00 - wicked: wow
2008-07-15 16:26:13 - wicked: I'm a player here first, before I'm anything
2008-07-15 16:27:15 - wicked: freestyle is what it is. don't blame the people, blame the game style, it's how it's played. Many don't play freestyle for that very reason. I don't play it that much.
2008-07-15 16:27:55 - wicked: btw can't add clapper to your foe list either
2008-07-15 16:28:27 - wicked: I'll do us all a favor and add you though, so we won't end up in the same games anymore since
2008-07-15 16:30:29 - wicked: btw, being on staff here gives me no advantage whatsoever, other than it takes time away from my game playing. I get the same crappy dice as everyone.
2008-07-15 16:30:58 - wicked: also, everything I've said here is as a PLAYER, not as staff. because I am a PLAYER here first and foremost.
2008-07-15 16:49:33 - wicked: p.s... if you think teams playing coordinated is cheating, wait until you run across someone getting a double turn and using clickable maps! lol
2008-07-15 19:01:07 - mancunia: seems your not to popular in terminator games either
2008-07-15 21:26:38 - GoVegan: here are the facts... up until we took the lead green had said "ebiskner: wow, it's as if your team is one person, crazy how well and fast you all work together."
2008-07-15 21:26:52 - GoVegan: he then waited until he thought we left so he could take his turn and take the upper hand
2008-07-15 21:27:00 - GoVegan: we stayed to retain the upper hand
2008-07-15 21:27:36 - GoVegan: it's a game... a game that i am proud to say I play very well... no different than spending a lot of time practicing chess. but to accuse me of cheating? awesome
2008-07-15 21:27:52 - GoVegan: either way.. thanks for the game and it's too bad you all have to be poor sports about losing
2008-07-15 22:43:58 - wicked: the fact that they think we're one person is a testament to how well we play together. Thank you.
2008-07-15 22:44:17 - wicked: I take it as a compliment.
2008-07-16 01:44:12 - clapper011: and are you going to deadbeat now red? wow and you say we are poor sports....*rolls eyes*
2008-07-16 05:15:16 - General Quigley: lol, you can claim that's the way you're taking it all you want -- we know cheaters when we encounter them, whatever lie you may try to pull
2008-07-16 05:16:14 - General Quigley: As far as deadbeating, I don't play with or against confirmed cheaters -- what's the point?
2008-07-16 05:30:07 - General Quigley: Even if no one else finds out the truth, wicked, just know that we know what you are, that you didn't win this fairly in an even contest. That you know we know the truth is good enough.
2008-07-16 05:30:37 - General Quigley: ; )
2008-07-16 08:02:30 - mancunia: dont
2008-07-16 15:03:07 - wicked: Actually GC, being someone here who busts said cheaters, I think I have a pretty good grasp at "cheaters when I encounter them" and I'm sorry to say this ain't it. Now you may not like how team games are played here on CC, but don't call us cheaters
2008-07-16 15:03:12 - wicked: because of that
2008-07-16 16:50:47 - mancunia: twat
2008-07-16 21:01:08 - General Quigley: lol, you even had to cheat to end the game and give yourselves an extra turn -- how appropriate
2008-07-16 22:14:32 - wicked: LMAO!!!!
2008-07-16 22:41:35 - demon7896: that was without a single doubt the funniest game chat that i have ever read.
2008-07-17 04:47:48 - wicked: more pathetic than funny
