Map Idea: Multi-map games

Postby pjromano on Tue Jan 22, 2008 4:08 pm

I just finished my first few games on the new map "Draknor - Level 1" and it made me think of something.

Why can't we have multi-level games? Hear me out:

You have a board, a "level 1" board for instance, and that board is played and someone or some team is the winner - which then automatically opens up a new board, "level 2" where the territories are outlined and armies are placed in a certain way based on the results of level 1. This level wouldn't be accessible to start new games - it would only be accessible by finishing a game in the level 1 board, and this game on the level 2 would automatically begin.

The winner of the game must win 2 boards - so if someone won level 1 they'd start with an advantage when level 2 started, so they're the favorite to win... however if someone else won level 2 (overcoming the odds of course), the same players/teams would go to a level 3 board, with teh winners of the 1st 2 levels getting an advantage in army placements due to their previous victories, and this would continue until a player or team won 2 boards or levels.

What do you all think?

yeah we will need an XML update for this which will hopefully happen in a few months. It will be a great idea when we have the XML but will require a lot of work and probably a server update as well
