Feudal War is pretty buggy, isn't it?

Alright, I've started games on all of them, my thoughts so far...

Fuedal War
After fixing the bugs and then playing through 2 1v1 speed games it may be my favorite match of the bunch. It feels a lot like chess (more like bridge, but I doubt as many of you would identify with that) and allows for some crazy strategies. I have had quite a few surprises.

Iberia
If I need an ego check I can go play this 5 players, I am getting slaughtered...

Malta
The lack of land's end bonus via a bug was a bit annoying but it looks to be good. Comparable in gameplay to discworld but not as abstract a theme.

American Civil War
My ability to dominate this map makes my thoughts on it a bit skewed. I like everything so far except for the Grant Bonus, it's a little awkward having some neutral states in the way of all of it. Still a lot of fun and doesn't feel like much of a stretch from a classic map.

Age of Realms: Magic
Plays like I always dreamed Might would. I haven't gotten very far with it yet though. I love how my first opponent let the decay dominate his army though the first couple turns.

Scotland
The & symbol error is really freaking annoying but it seems like it'll be a good map when that's gone.

Think I found one. Stay on your castle until the math is enough in your favor to surprise rush some other poor bastard trying to do the same...

Not having a good game all of the sudden.

Edit: changed my mind, the ice paths in the center make countering this possible, easy, and fun.

It's what caused all the ice.

If you take it and hold it a turn you win. Everything on that island gets raped by decay so don't leave anything there during a siege against it if you want that victory condition.

I Broke the Spell

http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=1488411

Very satisfied with how this turned out. My opponent tried AoR: Might tactics and after I picked up my resource pair with all those villages my amount to deploy was massive enough to take sanctuary in one turn.

sitting and building in magic no longer works like chapter 1.
now expanding is the key. be carefull about the frost though

still trying to figure that one out, im playing it against coleman i think :)
(wanted to play DiM and gimil, but they didnt have a game out there for it :( )

but so far i like AoR Might better, cause im better at predicting where people are in fog just by how many places they attack

edit: actually now im play coleman in both my the AoR magic games im in, and hecter in one of them also :)

edit: hey DiM, for the losing 1 army per turn by frostbite, is that ON the territory???

yes the frostbyte is on the terit troops not overall. so just leave 1 in the frostbyte zones and you'll be fine.

btw i haven't managed to play any of the new maps. that includes aor:magic :))

i played settlers of catan all night with my friends and today when i woke up i couldn't find any speedgames (with decent people) on any of the maps.

Feudal may be my favorite map of all time. Games can get a bit too long with good players though, I like it for 1v1.

Just played Scotland for the first time. I remember there were some concerns about either half of the map being holdable with 2 regions. I did manage to use this to secure my victory, but as discussed in the thread, this just secured the game that was basically won anyway. It's not nearly as imbalanced as Belguim is in WWII Western.
