depends, if its a map JUST like the book or if you would be able to maybe change the names or not. Also there should be a little copyright sign in the bottom of the image on the book(if there is one) if not then it should be ok.

sorry but this is horrible advice so far. it might not be copyright, but it is certainly in bad taste


first and foremost, you must ALWAYS contact the owner and ask permission. if they do not give you permission, I would consider the issue closed. If they don't respond, then you can proceed with the map, but as always, the images must be your own creation.

thats the best way to go but you can slip by with editing certain things so that it doesnt resemble the original too much
