The neutrals in the god/hero columns are all pretty wonky.
You need to specify which fleet belongs to menelaus and which belongs to agamemnon.
When it comes to one god/hero attacking another, which terit is being attacked, the base of the column? The top? The base of the earth-type bits?
Also, do I need to hold the whole column to hold the god/hero?
One has to attack 21 armies over 7 terits to take zeus, seems a bit much, even for a +6.
Ocean 3 appears to have some sort of comma after the terit name.
That's the stuff that jumps out at me, aside from other spelling errors ("Prium" should be "Priam", "Achaean Barracks" has an M instead of an N
Incandenza wrote:Wonky as in the neutrals on the white columns don't line up very well...
And I'm pretty familiar with the trojan war, and I have difficulty remember which of menelaus and agamemnon was the spartan.... maybe the terits themselves could be renamed to Menelaus' Fleet and Agamemnon's Fleet.
lanyards wrote:1. There is a continent named "Sigeion Ridge", and then there is a territory named "Sigieon Steps", "Sigieon" is spelled differently in both, so which one is the right way?
Ill fix that.
2. On Tenedos, I can't tell if the territory on the farthest left is "Sous Altar" or "Solis Altar". I think its "Solis Altar", but its hard to tell.
Its Solis, I'll make it clearer
3. The legend says that to get the god/hero army bonus you have to hold one continent. Does that include ocean, fleet, and troy bonuses?
Yes, although I might do away with this rule entirely, or just have it require a terrestrial territory, not continent.
4. In the legend, you spelled "Prium's Palace" wrong. And also on the map, the territory "Prium's Pallace" should be "Prium's Palace".
Will fix.
5. Hades has a comma after his "+4" in the legend.
Will fix.
6. Don't the dirt territories under the columns and the column sections need territory names?
They have names, "The alter of Zeus, the Barracks of Hector, its self-explanatory.
7. Could you make all the territory names a little brighter? Some of them are a little hard to read.
Will fix.
8. "Simosian Plain" I think should be worth a +2 and "Upper Rhoeteum" should be +1.
Simosian plain is only 4 territs. But Upper Rhoeteum should be worth +1. The bonuses are intentionally low to encourage heor/god worship.
9. I know this is really picky, but all the god/hero title text do not line up with the columns perfectly. Hector and Ajax are just 2 of them.
Will fix.
10. Looks great.
Zing!

Note - Either option can be done in the XML.

Yeah, I was wondering if it could or not. How can you make it the one territory is mandatory to hold and then you have a required tag for the rest?yeti_c wrote:mibi wrote:lanyards wrote:3. Right, so if we don't want it to ever show up, then it will have to be hold atleast one continent.yeti_c wrote:lanyards wrote:Then everytime someone started their turn, it would say "You recieve 0 armies for holding atleast on territ/continent", right? but that would work.
--lanyards
In example A) you could override it with any of the continents so that it never appeared in the log.
In example B) you can override it in the god bonus - to minimise the effect.

Ditocoaf wrote:No, I like the rule that you must hold a terrestrial continent. I worry that there will be too little battle down on earth; and too little incentive to go for and hold a traditional continent. (this is from the perspective of one who doesn't play Escalating, so continents and bonuses actually matter )
