MAP graphic design: very unclear, needs to be improved

PLACE THE NAME OF THE SUGGESTION IN THE SUBJECT LINE!

Things to remember when posting a new suggestion are that the dice are random, and that lots of analysis has been done on them both internally and public by community members. Also, please take time to search for previous similar suggestions and, if possible, to check current and archived threads before posting something "new". Delete the xxxxxxx, and substitute your text.

I come from MajorCommand, and certainly I won't advertise for their website.
The flash platform they use is buggy to say the least, some maps take minutes (yes, minutes) to load and the dice algorithm seems to defy any statistical laws.
Hence the reason why I'm searching my luck elsewhere.
I played a game on conquerclub.
It's fast, it simply works. Great.
But ...
The map overview is horrible to me.
I just can't see at a glance where my troops are or what my opponent has.
I'm slightly colour blind, which doesn't help also, even text mode doesn't clear things up.
If there is one thing they got right in MajorCommand, it's the way the maps are coloured and how they note the troop positions.

Another thing is the interface during play: the drop down boxes below the map to choose how many troops I want to move is distracting, rolling dice, ...
in stead of emerged in a game you're constantly have to put your attention away from it.

Get these things right and this website is with head and shoulders above MajorCommand.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
I think this is obvious: everyone playing on conquer club will enjoy a mush better look and feel of the game.

turn on the colour codes, i'm colour blind and that is the best option... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

p.s.-MajorC stole most of its maps from CC, so whatever...

well, this is not a typical "colourblind issue".
Please read the complete opening post and don't limit this discussion to this one detail.

I did read the OP, I just commented on this portion because that's the direction the chat headed down.
