Having "My Games" grouped (my turn, others turn, dead) would be an improvement...

Improved "My Games"-page

Postby MonkeyRex on Thu Oct 05, 2006 2:45 am

I recently found Conquer Club, and I think it is great! However, I think some details could be better. Especially the "My Games"-page is rather difficult to get a quick overview of. I feel it should have three sections:

- Games where I can make a move
- Games where I'm alive, but it's not my turn
- Games where I am dead, but the game still isn't over

This would be an improvement - right?

You can tell all that just by looking at it.

Green circle = you can make a move
red square = you're alive but it's not your turn
line thru name with the game still on you're my games list = you're dead but the game isn't over

It's simpler the way it is than the way you want it.

Actually, it might help those premium members who are in 40-50 games. It must be hard to look through all your games to find the ones you are in. Better to just look at the top and there they are.

I agree, it has been annoying scrolling all the way down the games page for that one game at the end.

Yeah, as others said that's easy with 4 games. But if you have a ton it would be much easier to have the games sorted by which ones you are alive in at least.

An additional benefit would be not hearing Pedro complain about 25633 being at the top of his game list any longer. :P

I am aware of the symbols ;) But as others have said here, with lots of games it is annoying having to look through all games to find which ones requires a move... In any case - it wouldn't make it any worse to group the games.

In the meantime you should try out the RSS feed if you have many games.

I use - and love - the RSS feed, but that only gives me the first time it's my turn. It would be great if it also notified me of all other times it is my turn...

The grouping described would still be nice. I use the RSS feed and the notifier but neither of those come into play when you are looking at the my games page.

Am I missing something? Does the RSS feed inform you every time it is your turn in a game, or just the first time? If it can be set to let me know every time it's my turn, that would be great!

The RSS Feed updates whenever it's status change. Its just a simple message Game Name and whether you're ready, waiting or dead.

It does alleviate the need for an email notify if you have a good RSS reader.
