bonus points for tournament winners

How about awarding bonus points to tournament winners? Would this be difficult to program?

I don't think it should be done, regardless of how difficult it is to implement. At least not with the way things are currently set up. Right now anyone can start a tourney, any rules they want and invite whoever they want. It seems like bonus points would be highly deserved for some tournaments and not at all for others.

I'd say once tournament software is implemented and we have a tourney director then it might be better because everything would be more official. I still don't know if I'd agree with it then though

maybe there would be away to do it like a poker tournament ......a flat rate point buy in , and to the winners or final six depending on the tourny type .........

To me its not really necessary. You join tournaments for the sake of winning the title of tourney winner. Plus to be the winner generally you have to win most if not all the games, which you got points for already.
