I may be wrong, but I seem to remember somewhere that Lack said that deadbeats lose points, but nobody gains them...emphasis on "seem" to remember...I have been known to be wrong from time to time ;) ;)

(that last comment was sarcasm BTW)

Have a great day, may it be deadbeat free and full of points

Yeah Lack did say that, but that's not my problem. What makes me angry is when I eliminate people on say the second turn and the game thinks they were deadbeats even when they weren't so I don't get points for it.

yup, I also think that that was on Lack's list of changes that need to be made ;)

The other logic is that, if they went out before taking their 2nd turn, they weren't really a challenge to you and you dont really deserve the points for knocking out the weak guy who never had a chance to defend himself. It's like in EverCrack, you don't get much exp for killing the ones who just got ingame and havn't even gotten their sword and shield yet, same here - no way to attack, no way to defend, no points for you ;)

Just a thought
Have a great day, may my logic somehow make sense some day

Oh I understand your logic, I just don't like it. :D
I don't think that just because someoneplays badly it is grounds to reward them at the expense of others. By letting them get off with no points lost they are rewarded for screwing up.....

yeah + it dosent mean they even played badly it could just mean they had shitty rolls and were stuck in a postion to be attacked by everyone.. been there done that i still lost points...lol

well waffles, technically, if deadbeats lose points without any others gaining them (which I think is the case) then it's technically a punishment for those who get a bad enough draw to be taken out first or 2nd turn...I mean c'mon, you get a crap deal, everyone attacks you, you dont have a snowballs chance in a very warm place to even stay in the game and you still lose points. I'd hardly call that a reward ;)

Have a great night, may you learn to love my logic ;)

deadbeat losers.........again!!

Postby munkyman on Fri May 26, 2006 8:58 am

I was just wondering, why, when you deadbeat a game do you not lose points at the end, you've still lost right? Im in a 3 plyr right now with 2 total losers and I am gonna leave with nowt to show for it!
Ive also noticed people deadbeating games that aren't going their way so they can pussy out and still retain their points.
Please, is there nothing we can do to rid this site of deadbeats forever?

Oh yeah, and bring back the ignore list!!

File a grievance against 'em. We should have a 30 strikes and your out rule...

***WARNING RANT***

How many topics need to be opened about deadbeats?

We know it's a problem. Lack knows it’s a problem.

There are always going to be deadbeats weather it’s new people that don't understand the game/people who have lives that sometimes interfere with playing a game/or people who just deadbeat for the fun of it.

Can't we please just move on to something new or at least just keep it in one thread instead of starting a new one every time some one deadbeats on you.

Hey Lack, I agree that deadbeat points shouldn't go to the winner as it isn't hard to beat someone who doesn't play, but could you just deduct points from them that go to no one. Deadbeats lose 20 pts maybe or whatever, just an idea.

The only way I could see something like this working is maybe at the end of the game, deadbeats lose 3*number of players in a game, and all the active players pick up the points from the beater.

However, I'd guess that the vast majority of players who deadbeat rarely return to the site, so why take points away from someone who's never coming back?

So we could be justly compensated for the 24 hours of no play.

Hey sorry moz, Its just so frustrating to play someone, get the upper hand, then have them deadbeat on you and walk away without feeling your wrath  . im well into bretzsky and grims suggestions, just for deadbeats to lose points, even if if the victor doesn't get them, to discourage them from taking the easy way out. what do ya say lack any ideas.

Deadbeats punished

Postby warlord on Sun Jul 02, 2006 6:42 pm

Is it time fo deadbeats to be punished, ie losing points. As more people join conquer club it can only get worse, better to do something sooner rather than later.

It Sucks

Postby Jgood on Sun Jul 02, 2006 11:23 pm

I was in a doubles game, and my partner became a deadbeat. I don't even know this guy, and now I am shorthanded against two people. Worse yet, his lands are grey, they should be mine or something. Perhaps it should be every man for themselves?

Deadbeat But Not a Deadbeat

Postby hairingtons on Fri Jul 07, 2006 6:30 am

Ok, just won a doubles game in 4 rounds. one of the opposition team took his first turn, but missed his second turn. and when we won the game, he was counted as a deadbeat...despite us taking him out of the game!!

Thats just not right. More points down the drain.
