Do not display guests birthdays

Postby nagerous on Thu Jan 06, 2011 11:31 am

Concise description:
  • Currently it lists all multis birthdays at the bottom section of the website. Today for example it is BlackHitler's birthday. I am suggesting that this should be removed so those in the guests group's birthdays are not displayed

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • If someone was to make racist multis etc. they would not be displayed athe bottom section of the forum when looking at the birthday's section.

The way phpBB is set-up, I don't think we can select which usergroups to display a birthday for---it's a global on/off setting.

i like the guests birthdays....some multies are stupid enough to have all there multies on the same birthday...you can pick up missed multies this way and if they have re started and gotten under the radar again

This.

While this could be done with a MOD, the code required to add settings pages in the ACP, and then filter and apply the changes wouldn't be worth the small amount of results this change would have.

An easy solution to this would be disabling any account with a racist or otherwise offensive name through the ACP, which would prevent it's profile from being accessed, as well as prevent it's username from showing up virtually anywhere (besides any posts by the account).
