Concise description:
- Implementing new suggestions cost money (web developer, etc.)
- If anyone uses Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/), it's basically where people chip in small amounts to get big things going
Specifics/Details:
- So basically, we have people submitting suggestions. If a mod likes it, they can approve it, and the owners + web developer can list what they think it will cost to implement this
- Have like a few levels for people to sponsor with, and offer a medal (on a profile) as a reward. People love getting recognized, so they will be inclined to donate to something they have always wanted.
- Start at $5 (for a bronze sponsor), $20 (for a silver sponsor), $100 (for a gold sponsor), or a title sponsor (needs a good looking medal) if they pay for the entire development.
- All of these medals are limited edition - you can't sponsor the development of something after it's been developed. That makes it all the more valuable!
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- Allows CC to create lots of new tools, maps, game settings, etc. or fix known bugs
- Allows those who want to donate a bit more ($25 is pretty cheap for a year) to get recognition for it
