team points

Postby wcaclimbing on Wed Jul 19, 2006 4:23 pm

i think that in team games, the people within a team should only get points if they survived until the end of the game.

EXAMPLE:
Players A,B,C,and D
A team with B
C team with D

-B dies early on in the game, leaving A alone.
-A kills C and D.
-A's team wins.
-A has to share points with B because they are a team, even though A won it for them and B got out and didn't help with anything.

I think if player B got out, player A should get all the points, but if A and B both survived to the end, they would have to share the points

wow that was really colorful

If one player on a team gets eliminated but the team still wins, it doesn't mean that player did nothing to help the team win. What is your reasoning?

or it could be that the player that survived would get more points than his teammate that did not survive

When you enter the team game you except the fact that you need to share winning points with your team... plus in escallating cards games I will sometimes kill my own teammate if he is weak and use his cards to sweep the board

Nope what a poor idea team games you are both in it, thus thick and thin you either win together, or loose simple no need to change anything there keep it the same

Terrible idea I think. Can you imagine the score inflation of people simply trying to gain points? You take 3 guys who always play before, but every chance you have only one of them is alive at the end. Then he gets all the points so his score goes much higher faster. And if he loses he would lose proportionally less because his teammates would lose as well.

Not good.

Would discourage teamwork since protecting yourself would be more important if you wanted to earn some points for the game.

this is a really bad idea.
Just because someone is eliminated doesnt mean that they deserve less points.

Now if someone deadbeats, and his team wins i dont think he should get points for that.

Bad idea...

A lot of times people get weak by attacking gone bad...thus the weaker players are sometimes the more active players (i.e. the guy breaking continent bonuses...) It wouldn't be fair for that person to lose out on points they did a lot of the work in earning...
