And I think that not being able to see you defensive dice hurts the image of the dice being fair.

It certainly doesn't help, but some people just can't overcome the psychology element. Psychological reversal, confirmation bias among other factors make it really hard for some people to accept things that are proven through math. Some people still think the earth is flat, to them we are all just sheep that don't understand 'the truth'. Can't change everyone's mind, that is a fact.
