Unite the Land objective

Postby Didda on Sun Apr 27, 2008 8:01 pm

How does the the Unite the Land objective work or become invoked. I recently played game 2147716 and lost to Colonel Dysonsphere because he took all the castles. The reason for his win was given as "The Unite the Land objective". The armies remaining against him numbered many hundreds.

I am currently playing game 2229939 and have occupied most of the land including all castles and villages, but have not been given a win. Why is that?

Objectives are really poorly worded and not explained anywhere.

You have to hold all the castles at the beginning of your turn.

Thank you for your reply. I am still dumb or confused though.
Does that also mean that you will lose if, at the beginning of your turn, your opponent holds all the castles?
Because in the game I lost I still had two armies numbering 340 in total. My opponent simply took all castles on his go, without taking the villages. He was immediaterly given a win and I had no chance to counter-attack or play again.

My current game I have taken all castles and villages but not been given a win. I'm confused in the extreme!

was it freestyle? since he may have started his turn just after you did so u thought u didnt get a chance while in reality it was a very very small chance.

Both games are on the Feudal War map - The first was a Freestyle - Standard game, this one is Sequential - Doubles.
Does Unite the Land not apply to a doubles game?

The freestyle singles game you lost, was because he started his turn just after you started yours, so he held them at the start of his turn. To stop him you would have had to quickly capture one of his castles before he started his go.

(I do not know this for certain) With the doubles, it is still possible as an objective, but that it may be that you have to hold it with a single player (like with continents) rather than as a team.

Can someone verify the "I do not know this for certain" part?

Does one team member have to hold all the castles in AoR, for example, or is it enough to split the castles between teammates?

One person has to hold all of them.

All bonuses/objectives etc needs a single player to hold them to be triggered no matter if the game it's an individual or team game.
