canadian thanksgiving almost over/subs to return?

Postby owenshooter on Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:52 pm

thankfully, canadian thanksgiving is almost over, and the sub-forums will soon
be restored (even if all of my sub-forums are still alive, i feel the pain for those
of you that are suffering)... i hope our canadian brothers up north had a happy
holiday and that we didn't lose any members due to a tryptophan coma... thanks
for the patience with everyone in the GD and being lenient with your locks!!! it is
greatly appreciated!!!-0

p.s.-i am sure this will be merged despite being very much a valid topic to discuss in
the GD, due to the holiday causing the longer than usual outage of the forums... oh, and
the fact that canadian thanksgiving is actually going on NOW and does not coincide with
it's american counterpart...

I can't wait to have OT back. I imagine the GD frequenters can't wait to be rid of us either. It's been a tough weekend.

i have really enjoyed it!!! took awhile to get used to some of the guys i had never seen before... but, eventually, it was all good in my opinion. aside from some of the profanity and crude remarks i reported (all of which were from GD regulars). i may venture down to the sub forums when your place of worship is restored!!! i mean, after the canadians wake up from the turkey comas and get back to work!! black jesus, out.-0

On topic and shouldn't be merged (yet at least).

I can't wait for tomorrow, either 8-)

Please do. We don't bite (hard), and if you can get past a bit of naughty language, I think you'll fit right in. You never did seem quite right to be in GD I always thought...

I just want my clan forum back, that's all. I guess I never realized how much I enjoyed having one until it's been gone all weekend.

to the genius:
The Canadian Thanksgiving date differs from the USA because their Thanksgiving is derived not from the Pilgrims, but the end of a successful harvest. Because of the northerly location of Canada, their harvest season ends earlier than the United States.

The designated date for Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October. In 2008 this is the 13th October.
