Mafia understudies

Postby duday53 on Sun Sep 16, 2007 3:23 pm

Im interested about modding a mafia game but i know not many people would be crazy about it. Maybe if there are other people thinking like me we can understudy to great mods.

its a nice idea, but you'd be hard pushed to find a mod willing to do it

What do you want to do, Duday?

You're a hell of alot more experienced than say cenarules or NESconqueror. I think you should give it a shot. The only problem you face is organization - make sure you photocopy and NEVER LOSE your mod sheet. Screwed me over in another game.

Good word. Might have to implement it into my dictionary.

start small. You might want to consider running a C9 mafia, maybe make it non vanilla to maintain interest (that's what I did for my first game). Also, most mods around here will help you out if you need it, just ask.

Dont try anything too big, or you will get fucked. Try a small game, maybe a newbie game so they dont realize your mistakes, but you can.

Mabey you and I should co mod a game together. We are both expereinced players but inexpereinced mods. Together I think we could do something really great!

don't do a noob game, they're tough to keep going plus if you do cock up then the new players may be put off - not what we want.

just update it when you're around. try to get it at least every day and more often if you can. as far as role balancing goes, just do trial and error or have someone not in the game look it over or at least look it over without getting two specific with the role types

ok...thanks for the advice everybody.

I think in a couple of weeks i can work a game out.

I have lots of Ideas but ill start with a C9.

And dominationnation, if I can mod a game you can too. Use all the advice everyone posted in this thread and we can mod separate games.
