GG All. I went out of town and left spiesr with the choice of who to kill. My vote was to either go after zimmah or edoc. Spiesr will have to tell you for sure, but I think he was worried that we might pick whichever one was protected. So, he took the risk that edoc wouldn't investigate him.

I apologize, I actually meant to kill Zimmah that night, but I accidentally wrote down the wrong name when I sent it the pm. I tired to communicate my explanation/apology before I died via a coded message in a leaked pm, but TheGeneral declined to leak it.

That is the assumption that I had made. Although we did have some concern that you might have had (and used) the ability to protect yourself. If only I hadn't fucked up the action report, then Edoc'sil would have been killed night 3 and Agentcom would have had a fighting chance...

I still can't explain MoB's actions. I obviously knew he was town, but he certainly gave us all enough rope to hang him by. I really think I would have acted the same way had I been a simple VT. Rodion, I'm still curious why you thought it was "obvious" that he was town.

I honestly didn't read much of the thread, but I saw MoB trying to "exploit" the PM system in order to give town an advantage. It was possible that he ended up suggesting a procedure that would hurt town, but that is the beauty of discussion: you'd have 7 other players (5 of which were town) to show him why a suggested procedure was bad and then they'd have time to think of new procedures.

For instance, I knew a way to get all relevant information to Zimmah in an 100% safe way (and it was inspired in something MoB suggested). I don't know if Edoc also had a safe method or if he just took the 95% bet (which is a pretty good bet, but not optimal strategy) but the point is that the system COULD be exploited to help town and someone should not be perceived as scummy for trying to test the boundaries until he could finally get something consistent going. On the contrary, if I had seen someone act like MoB I'd be strongly inclined to consider him town, simply because the only way MoB's actions could hurt town was if he had suggested a plan that was harmful to town AND none of the other 5 townies were capable of seeing the flaw in the plan, which is highly unlikely, especially in a closed setup where all roles/possibilities are known beforehand.

The whole basis of your guys information was that I wanted to relay my investigation info to my scum buddy.

Even if I was a stalker I didnt get my role till after Day started, I wouldnt of even had a result to forward to my scum buddy.

I disagree with your assessment that Mob must have been town due to his trying to find ways to use the PM system to help the town. The clutch of this idea seems to be that only a townie would have tried to set up such a situation. I personally don't see why a scum member could not have done the same, in order accordance with them trying to appear town. I mean it is not like setting up such a system would actually have been to the scum's significant disadvantage anyway, so if you could gain townie cred by doing so I don't know why they wouldn't. As it is, the scum knew the identity of every power role by Day 1 anyway, so the town finding a way to prevent the chance of a leak exposing the cop's identity wouldn't have hurt the scum in any way.

As I said before, we wouldn't have any way of verifying when you got your role. I think the best assumption for us to make is that you got your role at the same time as everybody else.

But in my mind, this is all beside the point. I think you could have easily explained away the PM. You just went about it in such a weird way that you set off a lot of alarm bells in people's minds. I'm more curious about why you defended yourself the way you did.
