Fantasy General (- based on Panzer General). Both great games!

EDIT: Since I am certain that it is FG, I'll be so cheeky and just post the next screenshot. Sorry to interrupt the retro wave, but this is a game I enjoyed playing a lot recently:

I don't know if I even had a computer of my own back then... I think I did, but I'm not sure.

No way, MoO2 was almost the same as MoO1, and MoO3 didn't look as good as this game. I really want to know what this is, looks like a decent game :P

This is not Master of Orion. The game couldn't actually be really classified as a strategy game. I'll give it until late today, or early tomorrow, before I will post a few more final screenshots.

Ah well, the game in question is Space Rangers 2.

To make easier, let's go back to retro and lets pick one of the classic DOS games:

I'd be very surprised if no one would know this game. :)

It looks a lot like Civilization, and at the same time not, the resource management window is too small with 12 squares missing, and I don't at all remember the resources on the lower edge, but is nevertheless the original Civilization?

I've played this and I'll get it, you mark my words...

(2mins later)

Colonization, by Sid Meier I believe. It was way better than the original Civ. Had very good gameplay, but I found it dated poorly. Really wish they had kept re-releasing this one

Yes, it is Colonization. A very good game. :D

There was a win95 patch for Colonization. As far as I know, it works well with the other win versions. Have a look online, maybe they re-released it online or something.

That can't be the whole screen.
