Update

Alright, another game has been completed has been updated.

The deciding game which nukie had to win was completed, with Rhinestone taking the victory over nukie, crushing nukie's dreams of making it to the finals. This means that both Mike and mwcc are guaranteed a spot in the finals, regardless of the outcome of their game.

However, Mike has to join his game within 24 hours to get his spot in the finals. If not, he will forfeit this spot. Also, whoever wins this game will have their map played third, while the losing delegate's map will be played last in the finals.

With regard to the maps in the finals, they are now finalised as the debate locations of the International Court of Justice, the Trusteeship Council, the Human Rights Council and the Environmental Council. Thus, the maps to be played are Greater China, Cairns Coral Coast, CCU and Extreme Global Warming respectively. As said before, the order in which these maps will be played is not completely finalised.

See you in the finals (:

Heya guys, I'll not be home for the next 30 hours or so. So do be patient if the last game in Round 4 ends before then, I won't be around to create the games for the next round.

Thanks (:

Update

With the first debate completed, Rhinestone's proposed resolution for CCU was thrown out of the window, being slammed down and being the first to be eliminated in the debate.

Mike emerged strong throughout this debate, being the one to deliver the critical blow to all other delegates in the debate.

With three more debates to go, lots of ground can be made up. The debate in Greater China has begun, where we shall see whether ultraman's resolution is feasible for the situation, and whether he can properly defend his resolution.

Update

The second debate has been completed, with Rhinestone immediately making a comeback after his loss in the earlier debate, and thus putting himself back in the running for being top delegate.

ultraman's resolution was almost perfect, but Rhinestone managed to find a flaw in it, causing ultraman to find himself coming in second once again.

Meanwhile, Mike managed to scrimp a single point in this debate, taking him slightly above the pack overall in first place.

Bad luck stuck again for mwcc, and was quickly eliminated. mwcc has to win this next game at all costs if he wants to keep his hopes of winning the honour of top delegate alive.

With two more debates to go, every point is precious. The debate in Cairns has begun, where we shall see whether Mike's resolution is feasible for the situation, and whether he can properly defend his resolution.

Well, whoever wins this last game will most likely be the champ. If Rhinestone wins however there is a chance for a tie. Anyway it turns out , this has been a very enjoyable tournament. Thanks Anamainiacks for doing a great job running things.

Update

The third debate has been completed, with mwcc stepping up to the challenge and claiming the victory, thus keeping his hopes of eventual victory alive. With mwcc claiming top honours in this debate, ultraman was forced to settle for second place for the third time in a row.

Meanwhile, Mike managed to scrimp yet another point in this debate, keeping him tied in first place overall along with ultraman. Rhinestone returned back to his unlucky streak and was the first to be removed from the debate.

At this point, the competition is extremely close. The winner of this last and final debate of the entire conference will almost definitely take home the victory for the entire conference (except if Rhinestone wins, where a tie may be possible), thus making this last debate a winner-takes-all one. The next debate will take place in a virtual reality, with conditions simulating that of Earth with the ill-effects of global warming. Here, the delegates will determine the feasibility of mwcc's resolution for the situation.

The results may go any way. Though mwcc may have the homeground advantage, the past games have shown that the homeground advantage makes no difference, and writers of the resolutions have not yet won on their own territory. Will mwcc be the first and only one to break this trend?

Another visible trend is ultraman's constant placing at 2nd. Will he finally put in enough effort to take him all the way to his first win, and thus win the whole conference?

Meanwhile, Mike and Rhinestone have already won a debate each, and may come back strong in this final challenge.

It's everyone's game to win or lose at this point, and delegates have to play for the WIN, not just for points!

Update

The last game of the last round ended with Rhinestone taking the victory for the second time in the finals, thus taking him from the bottom of the pack to the top.

Mike has constantly been at the top of the tables the entire duration of the fifth and final round, and still retained this position by coming in second in the recent debate, thus causing a tie between him and Rhinestone.

ultraman fell short of glory this time and was the first to be dropped out, while mwcc followed quickly after, dashing their chances of becoming the top delegate of this conference.

Thus, Mike and Rhinestone will now duke it out for final glory in a tiebreaker.

The tiebreaker will be a series of three 2-player debates, with 2 of them on their 'homeground' of their own written resolution (Cairns Coral Coast / CCU), and a final one where they will have to appeal to the world, which have been sectioned into general groups (Doodle Earth). The delegate who wins 2 out of these 3 debates shall be named the top delegate of the United Nations CC Conference. To add on to the pressure, all of these 3 debates shall be happening at the same time, forcing delegates to juggle all 3 games properly, concentrating on debates which they feel appropriate.

Update

After 3 months and 1 day of strings of heated debates, the United Nations CC Conference has finally come to an end.

The tiebreaker saw Rhinestone80 of Macarena rising to the challenge in all 3 debates, sweeping all the 2-player games with complete confidence, and proving himself worthy of being the Top Delegate over MikeMcd5858, and thus clinching the overall victory.

Congratulations to Rhinestone from the delegation of Macarena :D And thanks go every single player who played in this tournament, and truly made this tournament a fun one to host :D
