I only have about a months' worth of most foods, but I'm up to 6 months worth of salmon. That's not so much because of fears of supply chain disruption, more from fears of global warming. At some point the rivers will be too warm for spawning and my favourite food will go extinct. If it happens in my lifetime, I want to make sure that I have enough to retire on.

I believe RL actually touched on a real reply - the Russian sanctions. We do get a shit ton of Russ ammo here ( half of my .45 acp and my 5.56 are Russian), but the new rules do not stop that. They stop NEW buyers / licences from being approved and if an existing license lapses, they stop those renewals. So...supply really not impacted. Prices still ridiculous due to covid / sloppy joe / all time record high numbers of new gun owners.

I do not engage in prepping. Do have a boatload of MREs cause I got em cheap and the kids dig em as a novelty camping

Everyone driving to Houston, Dallas and Austin will arrive needing to refuel. So I filled up this morning both cars. Hopefully it will pass without any major harm or damage.

This occurred last year, too, and gasoline prices went up for a bit due to hurricanes shutting down Oil Refineries around the Gulf Coast (Texas to Lousiana Coasts).

The 2020 storm season was the most active ever in Louisiana, with the three hurricanes plus tropical storms Cristobal and Marco striking the state. The season was also the second most expensive for Louisiana behind 2005.

I'm fine with that since the list can't, logically, include Donald Trump. Trump was only in public office for four - instead of 50 - years and, during that brief period, U.S. carbon emissions declined, air pollution dropped 7 percent, and the U.S. Government made "the most significant investment in conservation in decades" according to the National Wildlife Federation. The only other politician I back, Josh Hawley, has only been in federal office for two years and also can't logically take any blame.

All blame to Old Joe. The buck stops there.
