And, work on your reading comprehension, PLEASE.
Your “point” was a bunch of unrelated facts, followed by an opinion.
I missed nothing.
If dates mean nothing in the view of organized religion then a lot of dominoes begin to fall.
*guess keeping the “sabbath” holy as a day of rest and reflection is useless, you can just choose your own day to rest and pray.
(f*ck what the 10 Commandments say)
*Imams are now cool with just going to chill on Friday and skipping Friday prayers right?
*What’s the meaning of a “Holy Day of Obligation” if the dates have no meaning or power.
*Why do the RCC and EO argue over the “right” date of Easter if the day doesn;t really matter?I mean my whole life growing up in Catholicism they hammered in the importance of specific dates… and now your telling me they were wrong?

It's NOT the date, it's the EVENT. You missed THAT point, and more, jimb. You did not pay attention very well in class, did you?
The same for KB. He too missed many points.
Your comprehension skills are ABYSMAL. As a Teacher, I have credence in making such an evaluation of you BOTH. I will try ONE more time:
1) The important point is that Jesus was born and made incarnate. That is in the Nicene Creed. It does NOT say he was born on Dec. 25.
2) The important point is that Jesus rose from the dead, on that day and event we now call Easter. NOTE that that date is NOT specific, a point that jimb seems to ignore. The exact date does not matter. (Look up both events the Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed.)
3) I said that birthdates were not IMPORTANT to most people, for most of history (until the past 100 years or so) with the possible exception of SOME RULERS and Kings and Pharaohs. I even cited evidence of Gutenberg. You TOTALLY ignored that.
4) I need not respond further to KB. He sounds even more ignorant than jimb, and that is a very LOW bar.
5) Did ever recite the Creed? Did you pay attention to the words? APPARENTLY NOT. Try again, jimb. I think KB is beyond hope.
6) And speaking of faceless, KB's fake face, if you can call it THAT, is UGLY. PERIOD.
7) Of course it is a matter of FAITH. I think I said that already.
8 ) Duk rejects matter of faith.
9) I will repeat some arguments that I already made and that jimb largely ignored. These are valid points and get to the heart of the matter. From a discussion (debate) perspective, they still STAND because jimb ignore these salient points. Therefore, they are unrefuted and thus VALID.

A) jimb has shown that he either:
1) ignores the evidence presented in this thread;
2) does not comprehend what he may or may not have read; or
3) keeps asking the question again to be argumentative. I will let the reader decide which it is.
and more, same thread, jimb said:
E) But jimb does not really want a logical intelligent discussion. He is looking to make arguments:I’m not attacking faith. I’m attacking the Catholic Church.
and he also says:
IDK if I’m “looking for a fight”… I do like to point out logical fallacies and or things I find ridiculous.
In this case, what I find silly is an inconsistency in a weird/obscure proclamation of the Catholic Church.
It’s an obvious hypocrisy, even if it’s minor.
10) You keep going over minor points (i.e., minutia) and MISS the main points. That is call
a) Poor reading and poor reading comprehension skills.
b) Poor debating skills.
11) Unless you bring up a new point, jimb, I need to put you back on the IGNORE List.
