Both teams to score(4/7) and over 2.5 goals (8/11) look golden to me. Over 3.5 goals (7/4) maybe worth a punt too.

If I had to pick a winner, I'd have to go Arsenal (29/20) but not that brave. Bet 365 offering up to £50 risk free bet in-play, so definitely having a punt on this game tonight.

huh interesting; didn t check the premier league schedule this week end. I never know what i want from an arsenal chelsea game after having lived in london.. i know that tottenham is my least favorite; arsenal is by far the most popular epl club amongst french people. i ve always liked a bit chelsea and went a few times in stamford bridge with one of my friends that had season tickets. always had sympathy for newcastle and city as well. basically, what i m sure of is that i hate liverpool and united lol! I d say 1-1 tonight.

I'd be very surprised, but I'd take it. A loss to Chelsea tonight wouldn't quite be disastrous, but it would hurt our title chances significantly. A win would be a huge confidence boost and maybe another step in the right direction.

Yeah but not historically french like arsenal in the past 15 years. I do remember ginola being a pioneer in the premier league for the magpies just after cantona about 20 years ago though. He then did pretty well in tottenham, i don t remember if he got elected best foreign player or best premier league player when he played there..

But i like the magpies since the shearer asprilla ect days. Was a fun team.

Well that was horrible.

Still, 0-0 at the Emirates vs Chelsea isn't disastrous. Could have maybe got 3 points on a better night.

Actually, scrap all that. Mike Dean is a tool.

Oh yes. If Chelsea could only beat the little teams they'd win the league.

That game was shit, I had it on whilst wrapping presents. It is all Chelsea's fault, with Mourinho playing Mikel, Ramires and Lampard in centre midfield and not bothering with their most creative players Mata and Oscar they were never going to score.

Reminds me the way RM played Barcelona when they were unbeatable, with Pepe in the midfield.

I think this goes in conformity with my theory, but the other way around.. it's more important to beat the lower teams rather than bigger ones because lower clubs are more and should be easier to beat.. Arsenal are doing very well this season just because they are beating the lower teams despite they are losing almost all games to the bigger teams such Man City, Man UTD...etc.. on the other hand, AS Roma keep losing the Serie A title race due to dropping too many points when playing the lower clubs in Italy, even though they usually beat every sing big team there.

The roma is getting outstanding results this season dude. They were not meant to aim for the title. They won their first 10 games straight, never happened in the club s history. Not their fault if the juve is winning 95% of their games or so!

Actually rechecked.. Yeah 5 draws in the last 7 games, that sucks! But there were a few complicated away games there. Next game, on the 5th is juve-roma. Hope the roma will kick their ass to stick back!

I was talking about their lifetime story, not only this season which is exceptional. Roma made a fantastic run and defeated almost all big teams including Inter, Lazio (a derby), Napoli... etc. However, they do not look like a champion because they just can't stop bleeding easy points. The real disappointment started when they drew the newly promoted Sassulo at Olimpico. I'm sure it would be better if they could beat the 17 out of 19 suckers of Serie A and lost to the only 2 good teams, Juve and Napoli.

On the other hand, I totally agree with you that it's not their fault that Juve are just unstoppable. sadly, this tells how shitty the what was my ultimately favorite competition gets year after year. According to Cesari Maldini, there's too much corruption in Italy and Italian football to see a decent competition any time soon.

Can't agree with that more. I used to love Italian football, growing up watching UK TV without Sky, channel 4s coverage of Serie A was the only live football I got to see regularly. Now i'd rather watch La Liga or the German league before Serie A, pity just a great league has fallen. You just have to look at their CL results over the past 10 years to see how badly it's desegregated.

if only the french could be anywhere near those results, lol! out of the last 11 years, 5/22 finalists and 3/11 wins (and just 1 french finalist lol). they basially get 2 or 3 wins per decade, and they are still on this average. so when I agree that the serie A has been lowering its standards, they still have decent results in clubs or with their national team. Every 2 season there is a new scandal though... but yeah, italian teams don t scare anymore, not like they used to at least.

this epl season is awesome, never seen so many teams with very decent chances to become champion at this stage! all this thanks to united who is giving everyone some slack. i don t even know who i want to see winning this. huh, i know what i want: 4th place for newcastle and liverpool to melt down. between arsenal chelsea and city... i think arsenal has been waiting long enough...

almost all the french guys you recruited are very good compared to what you got them for, and the results from last year were truly a surprise for me.
I'm a bit worried about yanga mbiwa: how is he doing? he was an excellent young defender with a huge potential, and it seems like he became a very average player... and that he isn't playing much.
debuchy, sissokho, cabaye, remy, and to a lesser extent gouffran are all confirmed good players in ligue 1.
obertan was shit in ligue1, and i don't know how drunk was ferguson when he saw some potential there. Amalfitano was just some average young ligue2 player, so it was kind of a bet, then there is that unknown defender you recruited from Nancy (wtf?)
and to finish ben arfa.... pfff, what to say.... i feel sorry for this guy, such a waste of talent. he is famous in france since he was a 10 year old kid or so. At that age, his talent was just breath taking and there was a tv program about young kids learning to become footballers in many episodes and he was the star of the show. he is the same generation as nasri and menez. all 3 extra talented, but inconsistent dickheads. hope they won't be in the team for brazil, that 87 generation should be forgotten and berried for the national team.

We have 14 French speakers in the squad believe it or not!Yanga is competent, wouldn't make the 1st 11 with everyone fit, good cover for Colocinni and Taylor who misses a lot of games.Williamson (not French) has done a decent job there also.Gouffran has been a revelation and way outstripped expectations, scores his share and works very hard.Ben Arfa is one of the most naturally gifted dribblers I have seen, but is injury prone,he had a really bad one not long after signing. Not consistent enough for the French team I agree but on his day...All in all the French invasion has worked for us,looking at Europaleague qualification, although 2 years ago the extra games adversely affected our league performances.Have we a strong enough squad, you need 20 good players to compete in Europe and the epl these days?

gouffran was really good when he played for caen, really one of the best young guys from his generation, then for some reason he became pretty average when he joined bordeaux, I never understood what happened. so I'm not really surprised if he's starting to perform again close to what I woul've expected from him 2-3 years ago.
yanga mbiwa trust me, is worth much more than this. the biggest disapointment of all your french guys. he should be in the starting 11 by far if he plays at the level he had when montpellier became champion, he was excellent back then. decent is an insult for his talent.. he should be in defense making life hard for varane and sakho for the world cup. we've lost him.

oh and i forgot marveaux... this guy did an excellent season in rennes, then he got injured for a year and newcastle recruited him. i think he isn't worth much since his big injury..

So arsenal beats newcastle and chelsea beats liverpool. I saw a bit of both and for once chelsea wasn t a complete shit to watch. Hazard is just an awesome player, too bad for lille he didn t stay longer.
The holiday season is just a great premier league add.. There is absolutely no other championship going on and they get all the attention. In france, during the first week of january there is the first round with 1 st division teams of the french cup. Boring as hell. The pitches start to freeze. Welcome to the most boring 2 monthes of the season, where it s mostly about cups, ice, reprogramed matches because of rain/snow and waiting for the champion s league to come back in march...
