Seriously, are you going to say that Ribéry was better this year just because he won the Champions League? Robben is almot as good as him. As an individual player Ronaldo is simply way too much better than anyone at the moment!

Congrats to your poster boy. great ballon d'or win. I never saw a player win so many things in just a year, leading his team to so many successes. Most deserved ballon d'or ever!

And today he played the worst game I can remember of him.

well at least it's a great operation for madrid, they are now 3 points away from barça and atleti. I'd love to see the atleti win this season. So fucking tired of Barça and Madrid winning every league in the past 10 years.
I am really impressed by the work done by Simeone.
I love how cristiana wasn't going in the first ceremony because everybody knew ribery had more votes, but then when they gave the "extra vote time", he knows he will win so not only he goes but he brings his whole family.

In France, PSG is now 5 points ahead of Monaco and 7 from Lille, as none of them won this week end.

You're full of crap bezito, Frank finished third well behind Messi as well as Ronaldo... if anything his hat-tick took the award away from Messi.

http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/ballond ... eutral.pdf

Check it for yourself... anyone with any non bias football creditability either voted for Ronaldo or Messi first and second.

The ballon d or has always been the best player of the best team, not the guy with the best stats, that s the golden boot.
And not only robben, but lahm, neuer, schweinsteiger, muller, mandzukic... I don t know, just any guy from the bayern should ve won the ballon d or. You want to give it to robben rather than ribery? Fine with me. It s just a fucking scandal that mister narcist with his gomina hair won just because he s been crying all year. This wimp won shit nothing this year. What has this so called best player won since he joined madrid?? That is freaking 4 and a half seasons!!! 1 liga and 1 copa del rey!!
What kind of great player is that?? Not even 1 time champion s league finalist!!
His club is supposed to be the greatest, his coaches, his teammates were supposed to be the greatest each time. HE HAS WON SHIT ALL SO FAR. So you guys think he needs a prize for being the lead player of a team never close from its objectives?

Anyways, f*ck YOU FIFA for fucking the institution of the ballon d'or that had always been chosen by journalists and not by journalists + idiotic players who are more and more mercenaries and self oriented pricks.

Ronaldo is the archetype of that generation.    I PUKE on you all!!

Well spake, Sir!

Although... Ronaldo is a great player and deserves recognition, arguably more so than Ribery (CR7 is prolific) regardless of whether the Ballon D'Or winner must be from this or that pool or whatever. Ronaldo may be a bit of a tosser off-pitch but fair enough the lad can fecking PLAY like.
There's only one Ronaldo! :P

it just goes against the history of this trophy. maybe some years you would say "yeah, maybe A won the champion s league but B won the eurocup". this year a team made something historical winning everything, and they give the prize to a guy who won absolutely nothing.

let s say man united wins fa cup, league cup, charity shield, premier league, champion s league, club world cup, european supercup on a given season, and it's not let s say van persie ballon d'or. wouldn t it be a scandal?

Go find yourself a new trophy then. The ballon d or is a very old trophy that has always been chosen by the best sports journalists of every country. They chose the player that deserved the most being elected the best player, and not winning anything has always been a no go.
Why the f*ck merge it with their stupid fifa world player trophy no one ever gave a f*ck about?
This FIfA ballon d or trophy is a joke.
The ballon d or by essence should ve gone to Ribery and the fifa world player to cristiana. Merging those trophies is a pile of horseshit. Now, who cared about the fifa world player? No one! The ballon d or, with what it meant was the one that made the most sense to any player, the one they dreamed to win.

This debate is pointless and repetitive. Call it quits, have a shot and move on.

Clarence Seedorf is now manager of AC Milan. Thoughts? Never forget his goal for Real Madrid.

Yeah only thing is that we had to wait until yesterday to close that debate. Really not looking forward for next year s.

Didn t know about seedorf. Well, quite difficult to say anything, he hasn t been a coach yet. He retired last summer or the previous? Can t remember.
I d rather try out maldini (paolo not cesare) but maybe paolo is trying to get really prepared for the job. He is the AC milan, just like Del Piero is the Juve, Totti is la Roma or Zanetti is the Inter (even if zanetti isn t even italian lol)

I d personally like Zidane to coach marseille for next season. The coach was fired in december and the sports manager is now basically general manager coaching too.. And they are looking for someone for next season. Zidane is from Marseille and an OM fan since he was a kid. Unfortunately he never played for us. I guess his final dream is to be head coach of the real madrid, but he needs to start with smaller clubs. I think that coaching the club of his home town would be perfect.

That already happened numbnuts, utd won the treble in 99 and Rivaldo won the Ballon Dor. The award is for best player, not best player within the best team, which I also would have given Robben if it was.

Looks like numbnuts needs to explain things slowly for slow minds... Rivaldo won the copa america (+top scorer) + won the liga (+top scorer) in 1999. What are you comparing?

The fucking ballon d or discussion is closed!!!

Copa America LULZ !!!

Utd won the CL, league and FA cup... the first ever team to do the treble but they didn't have the Ballon Dor winner... because they were a squad of very strong players with no stand out top player. Just like Bayern.

Just because you don't like him doesn't make Ronaldo an unworthy winner... nor did the many who voted for him, and I see you missed the part where Messi came second. At least Beckham came second in 99.

Best player won, wasn't even close in the voting... bekito's a hating numbnuts - debate over.

Well Pastore is really not playing bad so far in 2014.. Some impressive assists and a few goals. This is just too bad this guy is damn too inconsistent. The guy really has quality in his feet.

French league cup just played tonight and we lost against Lyon grr..
Semi finals drawn as we speak; Nantes vs PSG and Lyon vs Troyes.
Sounds like a PSG vs Lyon final.

And here is the best team of 2013. Interesting to see that this year there are no calcio players, only 1 premier league player that actually is there mostly because of what he did while in madrid during the first part of the year, no barça players and no messi!

Bah, a clear penalty on khalifa when we were losing 1-0. But in the last minute Valbuena made a really tricky powershot from far with lots of effect bouncing just in front of the keeper, I don t know how Lopez stopped it. That could ve been the 2-2 and overtime.
I would be very surprised if the league cup isn t won by Paris. I would be very surprised if they don t win the ligue 1. No french team has ever won ligue 1, french cup and league cup on a given season, looking good so gar for them ( still many rounds to go in french cup, they are on the last 32 round)

How do you fit Ibra, Cristiano, Bale, Ozil and Ribery in the attack?

And to be fair, after Bale went to Madrid he hasn't been the player he was with the Spurs, so in that case, Messi deserved to be there as much as Bale. But after the impressive first half of Bale, hwo do you take him out to give room to Messi? And Ozil given that he played the whole year well, can't be replaced either.

I think Ribery needs to give his place to Messi... right betiko? Image
