On a more serious note, Moyes needs to be given a chance. The players aren't performing for him. No other manager could have won the title with Utd's squad last season apart from Ferguson. The question is, if they don't qualify for the CL will they suffer devastating financial blows?

When Alex moved to Utd he had won the SPL with Aberdeen (I think), how many times in history have Celtic or Rangers not won the title? He came to Utd as a winner... sure had a hard season or two before getting them to click and play for him but when he moved Utd were at best a mid table side.

Moyes who has won nothing, I repeat nothing as a Manager with his side known for their boring, uninspiring football. Even if he had everyone fit this season they would at best finish forth... he doesn't have the tactical skills to manage a club like Man Utd and IMO was an awful appointment.

Actually I think Fergie picked him to fail, you can tell in his press conferences that he's not the brightest spark in the garage. I think he did a good job at Everton but not good enough to get the Utd job.

I would actually like to see the current Everton manager given a chance when they finally sack Moyes (next season), what he did at Wigan was unbelievable, no way that side should have been in the PL for that long... and winning the FA cup =D>

to chang: Montpellier's president said he concluded an agreement with newcastle for Cabella next summer and that he won't disclose anything else, but that nothing will happen tis winter, guaranteed. Therefore, the rumour about cabaye to PSG this winter that seemed pretty credible yesterday will probably not happen.

Darren Fletcher should be a strong candidate for 2014 :P

Rafa would have done a better job at Utd... and not the one who won the Europa league with Chelsea, the tennis player :P

Lol. On a more serious note, what would ve you thought of Laurent Blanc? He is an ex united player and I think Ferguson had him in great esteem.
He did really great in Bordeaux winning the title, then he did quite good in the euro 2012 qualifiers as the french national coach, with very correct games vs england and ukraine. After that with a crappy game vs sweden and spain people saw him as a guy who couldn t handle the team brats and not enough authority.
Last summer, the qatari directives made everything they could to make ancelotti stay, but he was really determined to go to madrid.
I can t remember how many coaches they tried... Mourinho, AVB, hiddink, benitez, capello, lippi.... No one was free or everyone had other plans!! Blanc was chosen because they had to pick someone at some point.. It was really a plan "h" or a plan "i" something like that lol.
At the end of the day it was a very good choice. Blanc was the leader that made us win the 98 world cup on the pitch. The "president" as his teammates would call him.
I had heard during many years that he was on Ferguson s shortlist for the after ferguson. I think his eurocup 2012 dammaged his reputation as a coach, also maybe ferguson wanted someone british?

Moyes face tells a lot. You can see he's deeply preocupied and has some fear, and the spotlight is really getting to him, but you can also see he's not done, he's intrigued and looking for answers. I think they will give him another chance next year. This year is lost, unless Van Persie and Rooney return to the form of 2012, maybe then they could reach a CL spot.

I was watching City's game the other day and saw this guy Noone. Very interesting player to my opinion, is he a candidate for the WC?

I like Blanc, they probably wanted to pick British which is a terrible move imo. How many of the top mangers are British? Rodgers and Moyes, that's it. Rodgers wasn't going to leave Liverpoo so that leaves Moyes, a few were mentioned over the years. Mark Hughes, Martin O'Neil, Carlos Queiroz, Blanc, even Jose Mourinho not once was Moyes mentioned until last year.

O'Neil would have gotten the job 5 years ago but had a bad run win Sunderland which cost him, was a good pick for Ireland though. Fancy us to reach Euro 2014 with a fair draw. 24 teams now remember ;)

Maybe the jump from Wigan to Utd would have been to much but with the football he had Everton playing I'd like to see Martinez given a chance at a top club... maybe Utd when they do finally sack Moyes.

For me Moyes has to go for playing Smalling game after game, he is the worse Utd player EVER!!! He is go bad he makes Anderson look like the buy of the century.

l'equipe says today that MU is after cavani. he s been 6 month in the PSG and is doing pretty well; bought 64 millions... why would they sell????
Moyes wants him as the striker and not a winger as in Paris.

Won't happen. They need attacking midfielders/forwards though... they should buy back Ronaldo :P

No way Utd will spend more than 30 million for 1 player. 2 years without the Champions league and they could turn into Liverpoo.

My island is a bit west of the island Anelka lives on... they can do what they want. Really wish we could choose our own flag here, I hate the UK flag.

He didn't do anything wrong, this is a waste of time and money. He will get full wages if he is banned... but he gets a nice holiday.

Oh you re in northern island and not in Britain then?
And yeah, i guess anelka will be perfectly happy for not having to play and still earn big money. As this is the only thing that has interested him throughout his career. He is even far worse person than cristiana (only that he wish he had his talent!)
By the way, the sum of anelka transfers and commisions to his thug/brothers agents is the highest i ve ever heard of.

Yes N. Ireland, we can choose between an Irish or British passport (or have both) so we should be able to choose which flag we what display on CC.
I think I read somewhere that his agent fees were the highest in total ever, wouldn't doubt it either. Think Tevez is also high on hat list, what a waste.
Stop hating on Ronaldo, he has worked damn hard to become one of best footballers of all time.

total transfer fees cumulated are superior to 110M euros. So imagine what the agent fees are, knowing that there are another 4/5 transfers that were done for free. His brothers are known to be thugs and to ask for insane commissions, I've heard lots of crap when teams tried to hire him and had to face those thugs.

Like I said; I can't stand the attitude I've seen cristiana have towards supporters/teammates/opponents

United are now linked with Mata. I think their PR team are just spreading false links with any top rated player to keep the share price up.

Come on betiko. I saw 1 video of those you posted, it was the one in which he pushes Guardiola, do you think Guardiola was a gentleman there? Guardiola behaved like a player there, to be respected he has to give respect first. But in fact, it's not such a big deal, except a little too much of Valdes but that's jsut fine too. It's football no tea time.

Did you see how Guardiola lies after Xabi Alonso recriminates him, he clearly says "I gave him the ball", he said it like 4 times because in a nervous manner cause he knew he had started it all. But in any case, it's not big deal anyway.

This is much worse, 100 times worse.

The difference niet is that in my opinion there is absolutely no bad intention there. Messi runs after the ball like nuts to try and save it, when he s on the ball he realizes it s too late, and by frustration kicks it. Clearly no intention to send a missile on the supporters.
Messi must be used to do that in everyday training sessions, and had a bad reflex there. You see any body language that makes you think the opposite??

Guardiola did something that you often see on a pitch. Don t tell me this isn t something mourinho did all the time. Almost all coaches do it. A coach remains kind of sacred, not as much as a ref, but you don t push the coach like that as you would do to any given opponent player, mostly for such mild provocation. That is a huge lack of respect.
I don t know, it s like hitting your rival s father or something. Ugly.

This is useless to continue. I have the opposite opinion in both plays.

I think Messi knew exactly what he was doing. And I think Pep, the way he acts and talks, is like a football player, I have much more respect towards Puyol. Why would he lie to Xabi Alonso then? Because he knew he acted in a wrong manner. The reaction of the players I think is just fine, as you say they have to protect him. What I didn't like is the reaction from the RM players after Messi did that, only Pepe and Casillas had a rather mild reaction. If Hierro had been there he'd kick his midget ass.

I just don't understand how can we see things soo clearly in opposite directions. Well, I do undertand, but it's kind of a shock because it seem too obvious to me.

The true real madrid fans respect a lot messi anyways, i have many friends who are for the real madrid since they were born, with fathers being annoying with videotapes of al di stefano and santillana games and trying to make you see them when you come and visit.
The first two years, real madrid fans had a problem with cristiano s personality. The majority of real madrid fans have had problems with mourinho s personality too. Florentino has had problems with this. They want to be seen as a top class club on and off the pitch, and nothing is forgiven.
That ball shot from messi is pretty much the only thing you can find about him, and it s subject to interpretation.
I think that cristiano is being a little less unbearable this season, i haven t seen doing any of his regular egomaniac prick stuff.

Nevertheless, if you really see messi as a douche compared to cristiano, there is clearly something going wrong in your fanboy mind.. Please post all the messi videos you like about messi being a douche, cause i m really curious!

If you want some barça assholes, you d rather think of stoichkhov, romario, maradona, cruyff... But messi, really??

Did anyone see Man UTDs match? lol

4 out of 5 penalty kicks missed

Chicharito does it again, scores in a dramatic match, but he failed 2 clear ones earlier. De Gea the villain. I don't understand how people say he's better than Memo Ochoa.
