Actually, she was reputedly good-looking in her early days. Don't forget that photography wasn't invented until Victoria was in her forties and had already produced upteen kids, and the majority of the photographs we see of her show her in her sixties, tired and grumpy. But Victoria took the throne at the age of 18, and the twenty-something Victoria was reputedly happy, fun-loving and (at least somewhat) good-looking.
