Cranbrook RCMP were called to a business on Cranbrook Street North around 7 p.m. Friday on reports of multiple people fighting in the parking lot of a gas station, a news release said Saturday. When officers arrived, they were able to separate everyone into two groups and determined they were part of rival biker gangs from Alberta.
One witness who works near the gas station and asked not to be named for fear of reprisal said the brawl took place in the parking lot of the local Chevron with dozens of people involved.
“I don’t know what it was about or what it was over,” said the man. “The cops came afterwards but it looked like 30 Rebels and probably 15 (Hells Angels).”
A brawl broke out and there wasn't even a hockey game in progress.
