As the LEFT try but never will erase LEE...They should learn the Truth of LEE's Character and Spirit...LEE will always be A Respected AMERICAN, of someone of Great Character and someone AMERICANS can admire , aspire to... -------------- As President of Washington,LEE University...LEE taught and helped Blacks/African American leaders...Who went on to create strong Black/African American Communities Throughout The SOUTH...Black schools just didn't close the education gap between late 19th century through the mid 20th century...Black schools didn't just catch up to White schools in The SOUTH...The Black schools lapped the White schools...Which was a Threat to Democratic Party rule in The SOUTH...As The Democratic Party began busting up the Strong Black/African American Republican Communities...Not to mention...1,000s of Black/African American Millionaires came out of that time period....From those, some who LEE guided...
